In the mythology of every nation, there are stories about "gods who descended from heaven." There are also the Australian Bushmen. Unlike others, their stories least of all resemble a fairy tale.
Myths telling the truth
Scientists have long ceased to consider myths, legends, traditions as fantasies and games of the imagination of ancient people. Each plot contains a grain of fact, a historical event. Unfortunately, over the millennia of retelling, the original version of the story is so distorted that scientists have to work hard to separate the wheat from the chaff and understand what our distant ancestor wanted to tell the audience about.
In the case of Australian myths, no mental strain is needed. In words and phrases that do not allow for double interpretation, they describe how, at the dawn of time, a wrecked spaceship fell on the land of the aborigines.
The legend of the egg that fell from the sky
During the Great Dream, a large red egg flew from the sky. The white-skinned heroes flying in it wanted to smoothly descend to the ground, but evil spirits prevented, the egg fell and cracked. The heroes came out of the egg and stayed among the aborigines. They gave Australians knowledge and culture, taught how to make fire and hunt, use a dart thrower and a boomerang.

The heroes died very soon. They could not breathe the local air, quickly weakened and aged. But their children, who flew with them in the egg, were able to adapt and survive. In an effort to preserve the memory of their parents, they carved and painted their images on the rocks.
The cracked red egg eventually turned into dust, the wind scattered it across the continent. That is why the land in Australia is red. The descendants of the heroes multiplied, but their skin was no longer white - it turned black under the hot sun and only the drawings on the walls of the caves remind of what the first heroes who flew from heaven looked like.
Now let's talk about drawings
The ancient man, although he possessed a fantasy, nevertheless strove to achieve maximum realism in rock art. The basic principle of the ancient artist was "what I see, I draw." That is why scientists always consider the drawings of an ancient person as a real reflection of the world around him. What did the aborigines of Western Australia draw?
First, they painted all the figures in white. Apparently, this is how they wanted to emphasize the unusual color of the heavenly heroes. The next thing to look out for is clothing. This is how the strange coloring of the drawn figures is perceived. The Australian Bushmen, in principle, do not have clothes - in the hot equatorial, tropical and subtropical climate of the southern continent, they are simply not needed. The strange "skin" of the characters, different in color and texture on different parts of the body, undoubtedly amazed the Australians, which they reflected in their drawings.
And of course, one cannot ignore the strange spheres, inside which the heads of the heavenly heroes are placed. The conclusion suggests itself that this is how the artist tried to depict a pressure helmet worn on his head.
A story with a sad ending
In general, the rock paintings of the aborigines of Western Australia not only do not contradict ancient myths, but are their natural complement, and together they tell us the real story of aliens visiting Earth. How did the visit of the astronauts to the land of the Australian aborigines end?
Unlike the legends of other peoples, in Australia the heroes who arrived did not create a high culture, did not build a great state and did not establish a reigning dynasty. The surviving equipment was gradually failing, unique, but absolutely useless knowledge was lost. And the astronauts themselves eventually disappeared into the local population, leaving behind only legends and drawings. And such a tragic ending is the easiest to believe.
