On January 20, 2018, the Curiosity rover took a series of images while in Gale Crater. At this point, 8 pictures were taken and the strange flying object is present in only one, as if the object flew very quickly.

According to some ufologists, the rover could accidentally capture a living creature, a local bird-like inhabitant, or something like an alien drone.
“It is very difficult to say what size this object is. And it can be both a bird and an insect. When viewed with magnification, it definitely shows some symmetry. This is definitely not a stone,”commented the picture on the YouTube channel ArtAlienTV, which posted a video describing the unusual find.
In the comments, some users pointed out that it might just be a bird and the picture is further evidence that the rover is not crawling on Mars, but somewhere in the terrestrial desert. Such versions have been put forward more than once before.
There were also versions that Curiosity was able to catch the moment of the fall of a small meteorite.
