The forty-fifth parallel of the globe is called the Golden Middle of our planet. It runs strictly in the middle between the North Pole and the sultry equator. But mystics and ufologists are attracted not by the geographical location of the 45th parallel, but by the anomalies associated with it. In these places there is an increased activity of UFOs, animals and birds behave strangely. And, finally, on the 45th parallel there is a large number of temples and other places of worship.
It is no coincidence that the Baikonur cosmodrome is based on the 45th parallel. This is due to the fact that the equidistant location from the North Pole and from the equator facilitates the launch of spaceships into orbit. Theoretically, it is much more convenient for space guests to approach landing on the forty-fifth line. Perhaps this explains the abnormal UFO activity in this area.
Why were temples built here?
It is curious that many places of worship, religious and temple buildings are located on the 45th parallel. Moreover, some of them are located in forests and in remote areas, where previously people did not build houses. For example, in the Belogorsk district you can not find the St. Paraskeva nunnery, the 45th parallel is the St. Nicholas Church, as well as the church of the Surb Khach Monastery, built in the Middle Ages.
The forty-fifth line was marked not only by people, but also by nature. Here is Mount Kubalach, on the slopes of which the Ak-Su spring flows, which is translated into Russian as "White Water". What are crop circles

Such patterns can be observed in the fields of sunny Colchis (now the Caucasian coast), in the Crimea and in some other regions, falling on the 45th parallel. Of course, some of these geometric shapes turned out to be an ordinary fake, but some crop circles are clearly not of man-made origin. Scientists have never been able to solve their riddle.
To try to investigate the phenomenon "from the inside", members of the "Cosmopoisk" club went to anomalous area and set up a campground at the highest point. To document what was happening, the group was equipped with night vision devices. Previously, the researchers measured the background radiation of the area using a "Geiger counter".
As it turned out, inside the mysterious geometric formations there was a reduced background radiation (in relation to the surrounding field). Another oddity that caught the attention of researchers was the unusual behavior of insects. All the anthills inside the circles were abandoned by their inhabitants.
One gets the impression that life has stopped forever inside the crop circles. But at the same time, the wheat remains intact, its ears are just laid, but not broken. Geometric shapes are precisely oriented in the terrain and have perfectly straight edges. In the middle of the largest circle, a depression is noticeable in the ground, about 25-30 centimeters.
The edges of unusual circles are of interest. The soil here is burnt or strongly compacted, visually it resembles polished graphite. No traces of any mechanical impact are observed.
Natural and man-made anomalies
Locals claim that intense flashes of light can be seen in the dark night sky before the crop circles form. Inside the circles that have appeared, researchers sometimes come across corpses of hedgehogs and other small animals. The birds try to fly around unusual anomalies; when approaching the circles, the birds abruptly change the direction of flight.
Equipment and electronics that find themselves within the anomalous zone immediately after its occurrence begin to work intermittently. People experience irrational fear, many eyewitnesses run away. After a few minutes this strange effect wears off, but eyewitnesses report that the ground around the crop circles remains hot for several hours. By the way, in case of severe fright, hedgehogs tend not to run away, but to curl up into a spiny ball. Perhaps that is why hedgehogs die in the anomalous zone.
The members of the "Cosmopoisk" club examined the recently formed geometric figure using a thermal imager. Despite the coolness of the night, the device recorded an elevated ground temperature.
