Remote surveillance for intelligence gathering faces many challenges. For example, with weather conditions or various obstacles. But soon, it is reported, most of them may cease to have a significant impact on surveillance devices, because the latest technology "technical vision" was introduced.

The innovative development allows monitoring from drones, airplanes and ships in any weather and time of day, and shipbuilding engineers of NPP Salyut together with scientists from the Moscow Aviation Institute are responsible for its development. As representatives of the press service explained, “Now the Moscow Aviation Institute and NPP Salyut, a subsidiary of the Morinformsistema-Agat concern, are negotiating joint work on an innovative technology of“technical vision”based on a homodyne microwave radar sensor. The system being developed is intended for monitoring areas of high responsibility in conditions of limited optical visibility: fog, snow, smoke, rain, dust."

The created and already tested system of "technical vision" based on a homodyne microwave radar sensor is small-sized, all-weather and highly informational. It will allow you to literally see through a storm or downpour, unlike other sensors, which will show for the most part only interference. According to Stanislav Chui, Director for Civilian Product Development and Innovation of the Morinformsistema-Agat Concern,

“I am sure that the“technical vision”system will find application at many transport facilities: railways, small aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, cars, small vessels, as well as in integrated security systems for various objects.

All research work has already been completed, a corresponding patent has been received and a demonstration model of the installation has been created.
