Periodically, voices are heard that Russia needs to return to the traditions of its ancestors, to accept neo-Christianity and / or neopaganism. The percentage of such people in our society is small, but they exist, and the question requires a meaningful answer. After all, in fact, we are talking about a call to suicide in Russia, the destruction of traditions and meanings that have become the basis of both the Russian World and the Red Project.

This article is devoted to the consideration of the validity and seriousness of the proposed, because we are talking neither more nor less, but about actually crossing out the thousand-year history of Russia. Everyone can see the scale of the consequences of such acts on the example of Europe, where the EU documents do not even mention Christianity, but there are references to antiquity, and the Third Reich was a "wonderful" attempt to return to the pagan tradition …

In the 20th century, Russia experienced two psycho-historical catastrophes, when the views, norms, assessments and attitudes of the population were radically broken. Our society has not yet overcome the consequences of the collapse of the Red Project, built on Marxism on top of the Orthodox Russian tradition. More than 25 years have passed, but the basis, the foundation of norms and views still continues to form, weeding out the wildest and most marginal ideas and trends. Our system of meanings is like a stabilized patient gradually recovering from internal resources and therapy. The worst thing we can do now is instead of resting after being wounded and having a successful operation, send the patient for an organ transplant, secretly destroying the immune system. Actually, this is exactly what all kinds of neo-pagans, neo-scholars / neo-Hindus, etc. propose to do. Even monarchists with a class society will bring less harm to Russia, and this, excuse me, is an indicator.

In every society there are 5-10 %% of the population that do not perceive their tradition and native culture, regardless of its content. You need to take this as a tribute to the variability of human nature and not take their ideas to heart. Only in the period of breakdowns and disasters, the percentage is much higher.

It is about such ideas, namely the proposals for the adoption of the Vedic religion and polytheism by Russia, hidden behind the picture "a la Russ", and will be discussed.

Ancestors and distant relatives

Before talking about the content of the traditions and meanings proposed for the "revival", it is necessary to make a short, brief excursion into history, and talk about the paths of the tribes that were the ancestors of the Slavs and Aryans. Below is attached a migration map of the haplogroup R1a found in the vastness of the world network (the Y chromosome passed from father to son without changes, with the exception of copying errors - on average, one per 58 million monomers), the main group of Eastern and Central Slavs, descendants of the Aryans, etc. The author does not agree with all the dating, but these discrepancies are within the limits of "about small", which allows you to use "as is", without redrawing.

About 5 thousand years ago, the ancestors of the Slavs and Aryans lived on the Central Russian Plain and the Carpathians. 4.5 thousand years ago, the ancestors of the Aryans began their long journey to the east and south, spreading along the Great Steppe from the Black Sea region to Central Asia and northern China. Judging by the spread of R1a, there was a conquest of a large number of peoples who lived there, of which the victors took wives for themselves and did not destroy men at the root. Over the millennia, a small number of aliens and invaders have dissolved with a change in appearance, but the Y chromosome is not a betrayal and allows us to talk about the origin. The patriarchal structure of society narrows the field for hypotheses.

The climate at that time was different from ours, so the living conditions in Sumer (5 thousand years ago) were favorable for agriculture and cattle breeding. For comparison, take a look at what modern Iraq looks like.

4 thousand years ago, the Aryans founded cities in the South Urals (Sintashta culture, "Country of Cities"), the most famous of them is Arkaim (modern name). By the way, the first civilizations of China belong to this time. There is no need to confuse individual settlements and even isolated cities with civilization - the city of Ierekhon is more than 8.5 thousand years old, but no one considers it as the center of a separate civilization. Permanent trade center at the intersection of the paths of nomads in Palestine (fair with fortifications) and no more.

3.3 - 3.7 thousand years ago, the Aryans in the territory of modern Kurdistan had their own country - Mitanni. Around the same period, another part of the Aryans came to northern and central India, conquering the local peoples. The picture below shows the objective data we have, indicating migration, climate and religions.

The evolution of the religious views of the Pre-Slavs and Aryans
The evolution of the religious views of the Pre-Slavs and Aryans

The evolution of the religious views of the Pre-Slavs and Aryans.

This is where the interesting begins. There are people who claim that the Vedas (collections of hymns, prayer spells and rituals), which lie at the basis of neo-Hinduism and were written down several hundred years ago, which had been transmitted in the oral tradition for several thousand years, are the faith of the Pre-Slavs.

I wonder why neo-Hinduism and not Zoroastrianism? Why are there any thoughts that the hymns themselves came from the common past of the Aryans and Slavs, and were not invented on the way to the south or changed so that there was practically nothing to do with the original, except for a set of names and titles, that is a lot in common between Zoroastrianism and Hinduism in the essence of creeds? What kind of religious traditions and meanings did the Pre-Slovens have in the forests for millennia, since the Aryans left?

A question arises about the sources, in particular, what relation do oral legends collected and recorded already in the Middle Ages have to the original? When transmitted from mouth to mouth, distortions always occur, languages, socio-economic relations, terms, etc. change. Also, do not forget that the Vedic religion of the Aryans was reborn into a caste society and already in the Brahman period underwent so many changes that now you cannot even say what was thought out and what was originally.

It's so easy to add a couple of paragraphs to the ancient text, from which it follows that it is your understanding that is truly true and correct … And so every generation. Look at how many apocryphas appeared in early Christianity in one and a half to two centuries, and here are thousands of years of free creativity.

Thus, without objective, material sources that have passed all critical scientific examinations in terms of dating and authenticity, it is impossible to talk about Vedic religion / neo-Hinduism as having anything to do with the beliefs of the Pre-Slavs. With the same success, we can talk about Zoroastrianism as a primordial religion.

We are not talking about rejecting history, but we must look for what happened to our ancestors in the interval from 3000 BC. (it is possible and ancient) up to 0.5 thousand years AD, and not fill the void of ignorance with fantasies, likening to the "homeland of ancient ukrov" or giving out the history of distant relatives who have gone to the south as their own.

Return of Russia to the "traditions of ancestors"

From time to time we have to come across proposals to stage the future of Russia on the basis of neo-pagan and Vedic principles, about the historical validity of this written above, let's move on to the substantive part. Let's consider the proposed religious systems on the subject and their correspondence with the current psychohistorical meanings of Russia.

For comparison, the following teachings are taken:

Vedic religion - considered modern interpretations, translations and interpretations of the Vedas, or what is passed off as them;

paganism / polytheism based on Rodnoverie.

Even a cursory study of postulates, texts, rituals, etc. formed the author's strong understanding of the artificiality and eclecticism of both Vedic and pagan constructions, the lack of connection with real history and the profanation of spiritual life, but there is nothing else. Yes, and it is proposed to "revive" the psychohistorical meanings of Russia precisely on these or even more chimerical systems.

The figure shows the parameters for both exercises. I don’t know about readers, but the author is really stressed by the almost complete discrepancy between the Vedic religion and the current psychohistorical meanings. There is a universal cosmic order, to which both people and gods are subordinate, the absence of concepts of good and evil, karmic ideas, rebirth, etc. True, there is no negative attitude to rebirth characteristic of Hinduism and Buddhism, well, at least so.

How many generations does it take to move to new principles, and most importantly why, what will it give? It is theoretically possible to abandon the entire path we have traveled for 5 thousand years, turning into someone else's rut, but for what?

It is also fun with paganism - the right of the strong (well accepted in youth, until old age has come), non-action (life in harmony with nature), worship of gods and the forces of nature, where the supreme deity is similar to the ancient idea of an impersonal Cosmos, the idea of Rock. Actually, it was in this configuration that paganism suffered defeat in the struggle against Christianity and Islam.

One gets the impression that most of it was taken from the ancient myths that have come down to us, added to the Scandinavian mythology and charisma, and elements of "a la russ". So it turns out after death a rebirth or transition to light Iriy, and another cosmic level.

What is the danger of pagan ideas? They are not independent and not productive, they are built solely on denial, hatred. Initially anti-Christian and nationalistic (against other nationalities), these meanings lead people out of the Russian world. Not for nothing, a significant number of so-called "Russian Muslims" follow the chain: paganism / nationalism - anti-Christianity - Salafi Islam - terrorist attack / war on the side of militants - death.

The proposal for Russia to accept the “ancestral faith” can be illustrated by the example of a small dialogue. Imagine that you have a large cottage that needs ongoing renovation - to patch up the roof, paint, etc. There is work, but it is not very significant and you can have time before winter, if you do not delay.

Then a weirdo comes in and says:

So who do you have to be to succumb to such a divorce? This is actually such nonsense that we are offered, speaking of the Vedas and / or paganism.

Thus, the meanings offered by the Vedic religion and polytheism are not relevant and have little to do with the real situation in Russia. There is an attempt under the guise of revival to completely change the meanings of Russia, i.e. conduct a psychohistorical sabotage. An attempt to introduce that neo-Hinduism, that paganism will lead to a complete breakdown and a national catastrophe, the scale of which exceeds in total both 1917 and 1991. Against this background, stories about the ancient ukrov will be perceived as minor inaccuracies.

Conclusion

Psychohistorical meanings create a picture of the world for a person and an ethnic system in which they have a meaning of existence. You can talk as much as you like about the possible future of Russia within the framework of Vedic religion and paganism, but the past millennia / centuries have changed the Proto-Slavs, Slavs, Russians so much that now it is tantamount to launching a tough psychohistorical break, lasting several generations and with an incomprehensible result.

In fact, we are being asked to do exactly what our enemies want to do with us. At the same time, they really don't care where we change, the main thing is that there are more internal problems and conflicts.

In practice, the result of the implementation of such proposals will be not so much the introduction of new meanings as the destruction of existing ones, the transfer of people and the entire ethnic system to an intermediate state, when there is maximum openness to any suggestions.

The Vedic religion and paganism proposed under the guise of reviving the traditions of the ancestors is an element of sabotage and psychohistorical struggle against Russia, an attempt to destroy all history, both Orthodox and Soviet, since the Red Project is a continuation of Christian traditions.
