The Mars One project, which assumes the irrevocable delivery of volunteers to Mars, now starts no earlier than 2031 - that is, five years later than the originally announced date. This news was disseminated by the RIA Novosti news agency, referring to the project's offsite.

As part of the Mars One mission, four astronauts will go to the Red Planet, who, having overcome a seven-month flight, will find themselves on Mars, where they will spend the rest of their lives trying to create something like a colony on a lifeless planet with a rarefied atmosphere.

The first stage of the mission, unmanned flight, has also been shifted from 2018 to 2022.

A manned spacecraft that will propel the conquerors of Mars towards their goal will leave Earth in 2031. Unless, of course, the mission is transferred again.

The reason for the postponement of the ambitious project is changes in the financial strategy of Mars One. Which, obviously, are due to the purchase of the project by the InFin Innovative Finance AG corporation.

At the moment, a hundred volunteers from around the world are involved in the Mars One project, who are still preparing for the colonization of Mars in terrestrial conditions. Of these, the organizers will select only twenty-four people who will be sent to the fourth planet in groups of four astronauts.
