Back in the 18th century, the physician, physiologist and physicist Luigi Galvani noticed during the preparation of the frog the twitching of the paw when he touched the muscle with a metal scalpel. Since the little body was hanging on a copper hook, he guessed about the occurrence of an electric current between the two metals. From here all the batteries went over time.
