The debate about whether representatives of extraterrestrial civilization have visited our planet have not subsided for decades. Proponents of the visit theory believe that numerous mysterious finds from different parts of the Earth indicate that aliens not only visited us, but also left their gifts. Scientists are still trying to unravel the mysteries of artifacts found in different parts of the planet.

Meteorite mask, Botswana

Meteorites of various sizes and shapes often hit the Earth, and this fact does not surprise anyone. True, not all meteorites become known to the whole world. But a mask-shaped meteorite fragment found in the Kalahari Desert has caused a lot of controversy in scientific and pseudo-scientific circles.

At first glance, it is difficult to guess that this is not the creation of human hands, but a gift from outer space. The "mask" has symmetrical eye holes and a hollow for the nose. It should be noted that holes in metal meteorites are not uncommon. The reason for this is common rust. But ufologists are of the opinion that this particular meteorite is part of the suit or spacesuit of an alien that landed in the center of the desert and then left Earth.

Corrugated sphere, South Africa

The first unique spherical objects with a wavy or corrugated surface were discovered by miners several decades ago.

Since then, they have been regularly discovered during the development of layers and excavations. The spheres are not always the same. Some are homogeneous and made of an alloy unknown to modern science. Others are hollow, with a white, spongy substance found inside. The only unifying element is a deep groove along the "equator" of the sphere. The age of the mountain, where these artifacts were first discovered, is estimated at billions of years, so the theory of the earthly origin of the spheres, according to some scientists, does not hold water. Probably, aliens left the orbs, but no one knows when and for what purpose.

Stone head, Guatemala

The impenetrable jungles of Central America, which were home to the Mayan tribe, hold many secrets. Here, among exotic trees, in the 30s of the 20th century, one of the most mysterious artifacts on Earth was found - a giant sandstone head.

At first it appears that the stone head is part of a huge goddess statue, but there are details that indicate that this is not the case. First, the facial features are completely different from those of the Mayan Indians. And the statue itself is very different from the statues found in Guatemala. Second, careful research has shown that the area where the head is located has never been inhabited. Third, the analysis of the sandstone showed that the statue is much older than the Mayan sculptures. There are two main versions of the origin of the giant head. The first is alien. Representatives of extraterrestrial civilization left their portrait to their descendants. This version is supported by the thoroughness of the details. Perhaps this is not just a sculpture, but a sarcophagus in which the remains of one of the visitors rest. The second version is ancient. Presumably the ancestors of the Maya Indians who lived in those placeswhere the jungle later grew, a statue was carved. But the second version does not explain the accuracy of the work and its magnitude. And also why the ancient people, who supposedly did not reach the level of Mayan mastery, would make such an artifact.

Enigmalite Williams, USA

The mysterious stone found by engineer John Williams holds a secret that has not yet been solved. The find was called "enigmalite" ("enigma" in Latin - "riddle", "lithos" - stone).

An ordinary gray cobblestone, from which three metal pins protrude, resembling a modern plug of an electrical appliance. Research, to which the owner of the artifact agreed, showed that the stone is more than a hundred thousand years old. And the “fork” is not just glued to the stone, but is inside it. Only a small part is visible from the outside. But Williams, whose name the find is named after, still does not allow any manipulations with the stone for a more detailed analysis. He only claims to have found it far from industrial sites and large cities. Of course, this secrecy gave rise to many rumors of a fake. But those who believe that aliens regularly visit Earth believe it is part of a device that fell from a flying saucer over a million years ago. The stone simply “gathered” around the device, like pearls gather around a speck in a shell. As proof of this, the results of the analysis of the metal are cited, which showed that the "fork" is no less, or even more, than the stone. In any case, until a full-scale analysis has been carried out, it is too early to draw conclusions.

Ancient bullet, Crimea

An unexpected artifact was discovered by archaeologists during excavations of ancient Taurida. An object very similar to a fossilized bullet was stuck in the wall of one of the ancient structures.

It would seem, what is surprising about this find, because a bullet could well have hit the ruins from a firearm. Bullets of this shape were made already in the 19th century. But analysis showed that the building, in the wall of which the bullet was stuck, was not built earlier than the fifth century, but, most likely, in the second century BC. And the bullet is about the same age.

Petrosphere, Costa Rica

Mysterious stone balls of regular shape have been discovered near the Diquis River in Costa Rica. For a long time, it was believed that the balls, called petrospheres, were left from ancient civilizations, and treasures were hidden inside them. Therefore, for a long time, all found artifacts split or exploded.

But none was found to contain gold. At the request of scientists, local authorities intervened to stop vandalism in relation to the finds. To date, about three hundred balls have survived, the smallest of which has a diameter of two centimeters, and the largest is two meters. The difficulty in studying petrospheres is not only that they are made of different materials (igneous rock, limestone, sandstone), which makes it difficult to date the origin, but also that the spheres were often moved. Only a few balls lie in their places, the rest have long left the mouth of the river and were placed in parks and museums under the open sky. Most scientists are sure that the petrospheres are of natural origin, as there is not a single surviving document or evidence that would indicate their production and use. But some researchers are inclined to believe that the balls were produced in the course of some unknown work and remained after the visit of the aliens. Perhaps they were part of a giant star map, where the balls themselves denoted celestial bodies, and the river denoted the Milky Way.

Dodecahedron, Europe

Mysterious bronze objects, reminiscent of unusual cubes for board games, have been found throughout the territory that was once occupied by the Roman Empire. Small objects with twelve pentagonal faces and small balls at the tops of pentagons have occupied the minds of scientists for decades.

All found dodecahedrons are hollow inside. Each face has a round hole, sometimes surrounded by a thin groove. The age of the artifacts (and there are more than a hundred of them) scientists could not determine exactly. They are dated around the 2nd-3rd century AD, but due to the fact that the material for making dodecahedrons was very diverse (bronze, stone, gold), it is very difficult to establish the date more precisely. But regardless of age, dodecahedrons themselves are a mystery. What could the ancient Romans use them for? Was it candle holders, dice, measure, jewelry or parts of some kind of mechanism? Scientists have never found any records or descriptions of dodecahedrons, which has led some to conclude that the Roman dodecahedrons were not made by humans. People just found them and then used them as they wanted. But who then left the artifacts on Earth remains a mystery to this day.

World of mysteries

These are not the only artifacts credited with extraterrestrial origin. Suffice it to recall the Betzev silver ball or tungsten springs found at the bottom of the river, or a meteorite from Sri Lanka with traces of algae that are not on Earth. The world is full of mysteries, but will we solve them all, a question that every scientist would like to know the answer to.
