According to the findings of the researchers, most of the samples they analyzed have estrogenic and antiandrogenic effects. These receipts must not come into contact with food. Also, they should not be crumpled before discarding, storing and writing notes on them. In some checks, scientists have found a substitute considered safe - bisphenol S - which has recently been shown to also lead to hormonal disruption. The BPA content of the samples was 30-100 times the recommended levels.
Bisphenol A binds to the nuclear estrogen receptor and alters the activity of certain genes. It also alters the production of steroidogenic enzymes and modifies a number of signaling cascades.
