For the first time, a specialist in criminology was involved in proving the reliability of the fact of rebirth. At the conference of Indian criminologists, Vikram Rada Singh Chaohan from Patiala made a presentation on the results of his scientific work.
He was investigating an unusual case of one child who in a past life lived in the Jalandhar region, and after a while was born in another rural area. Based on a comparative analysis of the handwriting of this child and the handwriting of another person, which he allegedly was in his previous life, Vikram Chaohan proved that this is one and the same person, therefore, the phenomenon of rebirth exists. At the conference of criminologists, Chaohan's message was received with great interest and approval.
Taranjit Singh, a six-year-old boy from a poor peasant family, constantly “fooled” the household with memories of the events of his past life. His parents recall that their baby, at the age of two, assured him that he was not their son, and even tried to run away from home several times. The child very intelligently explains that he used to live in the village of Chakchela, and his name was Satnam Singh, and his father's name was Jeet Singh. He went to school in the neighboring village of Nihalwal. On September 10, 1992, he and his friend Sakhwinder Singh were cycling home from school, and they were accidentally run over by their fellow countryman Yogi Singh, who was racing on a motor scooter. Satnam Singh suffered serious head injuries and died the next day.
Little Taranjit, day after day, told his parents about his previous life, painted the details, called names. His father, Ranjit Singh, traveled with his wife and son to the village of Chakchela, where Ta-rangit said he used to live. They did not find people there who fit the description of the boy's previous parents. Then one of the neighbors told them that there is a village with the same name in Jalandhar, and they decided to go there. Ranjit Singh went to Nihalwal and found an old teacher there, who confirmed that their school student Satnam Singh had died in an accident on the road and that he was the son of Jeet Singh from Chakchela village.
In his endless tales of his past life, Taranjit mentioned that when he was hit by a scooter, he had two books, and those books were soaked in blood. He also had 30 rupees with him. Ranjit Singh asked about these books and money from a woman who was the mother of his son in a previous life, - she cried and confirmed his words. The mother keeps these books and 30 rupees as a memory of her poor son.
A few days later, in the village of Alluna Miana, where the newly born boy Taranjit lives, his former father and mother, sister and brothers came to visit him. They showed Taranjit a wedding photo he had seen earlier in his home, and he recognized it immediately.
Some newspapers published an unusual story about a little boy being born a second time. Vikram Chaohan also read about this fact of reincarnation, but at first did not pay attention to it - a serious scientist did not believe such tales. But after a while, out of pure curiosity, I decided to investigate this case. He came to both villages many times and asked people. The boy and his parents, past and present, told him over and over again the same story about reincarnation. Vikram Chaohan went to the village shop, talked to the owner and learned that a few days before his death the boy Satnam bought a notebook from him for three rupees. When the shopkeeper came to the village where Taranjit lives, he met with the "debtor" and recalled the debt. The kid recognized him and recalled that he owed money in the shop for a notebook, but said that he owed two rupees. The owner of the shop did not argue - maybe there are really only two, and it's not about money - he was interested to know if this was the boy.
In order to scientifically investigate the circumstances of the case, Chaohan took samples of Taranjit Singh's handwriting (the six-year-old boy already knows how to write) and compared his scribbles with Satnam Singh's handwriting from the school notebooks that remained after him. He proceeded from the theory widespread in criminology, based on the uniqueness of a person's handwriting. The handwritings of two different people cannot be absolutely identical, and if Taranjit Singh and Satnam Singh are one person, then the handwriting must be the same; handwriting experts are convinced that a person's handwriting has features due to his individual character. Since no two people are exactly the same, the handwriting must be different. Handwriting analysis is a very complex and multifaceted study in which graphic elements are compared with physiology and psychology. To a large extent, a person's handwriting is determined by his psychological state. Thinking plays an important role in the development of writing features, and thought processes in different people proceed in different ways.

Vikram Chaohan was surprised to find that Taranjit's handwriting almost completely coincided with Satnam's. The only difference was muscular coordination, but this is understandable - after all, Taranjit is only six years old, and he just learned to write. Such a percentage of coincidence, as in the handwriting of these boys, can only mean one thing: there is too much in common between them to consider them completely different people.
Chaohan argued his point of view as follows: if we assume that the soul of a child has moved to another body, then his way of thinking should go to this other person. Therefore, if the soul of Satnam Singh migrated into the body of Taranjit Singh, then it is not surprising that the handwritings of both incarnations of this soul are almost identical. The scientist presented this case and his findings in a report at a conference of criminologists. His colleagues analyzed handwriting samples from both boys and agreed with Chaohan's findings.
He backs up his arguments with one more fact:
Now Taranjit Singh lives with his current parents, because they refused to transfer the child to foster care in his former family, although the family is much richer. Satnam Singh's father and mother have so far come to terms with this situation. They explained that they understand the feelings of Taranjit's parents and are not going to take their son away from them.
