The truth is somewhere nearby, but more often than not it is so far away that it becomes absolutely impossible to recognize it. Today, the truth is drowning in a sea of information garbage, and as a result, we know so little about mysterious phenomena that we practically stopped believing in them.
However, people have observed unidentified flying objects since antiquity and continue to do so today.
The most complete definition of the UFO phenomenon was given by the researcher Joseph Allen Hynek: “the perception of an object or light visible in the sky or space or above the earth's surface; a phenomenon, a ghost, a trajectory, the general dynamics and nature of the glow of which does not find a logical, generally accepted explanation, is a secret not only for eyewitnesses, but also remains unexplained even after a close study of all available evidence by specialists who are able, if possible, to identify the phenomenon from the point of view common sense.
Most of the flying objects still find an explanation and turn into OLO - identified flying objects. Of all reports of unidentified flying objects, only 5-10 percent remain unidentified.
Astronomical phenomenon of 1561 over Nuremberg
In the early morning of April 14, 1561, the townspeople watched an aerial battle involving "crosses, discs, crescents, and tubes," from which several smaller rounded objects subsequently flew out, randomly moving across the sky. If unidentified flying objects were really trying to get attention, they would always behave as on October 27, 1954, when a mysterious object appeared over a huge stadium filled with people. About ten thousand people witnessed the passage of strange objects, all the newspapers of Florence and Italy wrote about this, and the case fell into a number of inexplicable, but undeniable evidence of the existence of unidentified flying objects.
Petrozavodsk phenomenon
The Petrozavodsk incident is a series of anomalous phenomena that occurred in the period from September 1977 to February 1978 in the north-west of Russia, especially manifested on September 20, 1977 in the city of Petrozavodsk. The anomaly is described as an unidentified flying object of large size, hovering over Lake Onega and emitting yellow-golden rays, apparently leaving behind oval holes in the windows of a number of buildings.
Hill incident 611
The incident at altitude 611 is the alleged crash of an unidentified flying object in the Russian Far East. The reddish ball was noticed by local residents - eyewitnesses say that the ball was half the size of the disk of the moon. He flew parallel to the ground without making any sounds. When the object reached height 611, it went up and down several times, and then crashed into the mountain. All but one of the witnesses say that there were also no sounds when the object reached the ground.
Three days after the incident, a group of ufologists climbed the hill. They found an area of 2 × 2 m with traces of high-temperature impact. The rocks on it were covered with a black film, and the platform itself was covered with black ash. Remnants of burnt wood were found, which turned into porous coals, which were not typical for a forest fire. Also, the surviving part of the outer casing of the ball was found, made of ultrapure molybdenum, which is not used in earthly conditions as a structural material, since it has very poor physical chemical properties, as well as fused spherical droplets with a metallic sheen.
Tehran case
On September 19, 1976, the Iranian Air Force Command Post in Tehran received four telephone messages from residents of Shemiran urban district about unusual activity in the night sky. Some of the callers talked about a bird-like object, others about a brightly lit helicopter. The anomaly was recorded by several radars at once - more precisely, a system failure was recorded. Electronic interference was observed near the object: two F-4 Phantom II interceptors lost communication, the equipment malfunctioned when they approached the object, another of the aircraft temporarily failed the gun systems.
Some researchers consider this incident to be one of the most important UFO sightings. One of the main proofs of the extraterrestrial origin of UFOs is considered to be the failure of the F-4 when trying to attack the object and malfunctioning of equipment on two different aircraft. A military spy satellite also recorded this incident. The DSP-1 satellite observed an infrared anomaly during the incident and for an hour after.
