In the legends of many peoples there are references to intelligent creatures similar to people who live under water. There is an entry in the ship's log dating back to 1608, when the ship's crew observed a female creature with a fish tail in the water. Judging by the record, if not for the tail, the creature could well have been mistaken for a human.
In 1737, a male fish-tailed creature was beaten to death by fishermen near Ester. The upper half of this mermaid's body was human. Moreover, it is known that the corpse of a marine inhabitant has long been an exhibit in the city museum.

At the same time, strange signals were recorded from them, most of all resembling croaking. Therefore, such objects are called "Quakers". They, as a rule, often appear next to submarines, accompany them, make dizzying maneuvers at an impossible speed. All attempts to approach them or to get in touch are unsuccessful. At the same time, witnesses to such incidents claimthat these are clearly artificial devices controlled by intelligent beings.
