So, I believe that there are still people who are adequate and are not led to divorce, but if suddenly someone has weak ideas about magic, I will tell you a little about some of the realities of this art, since I have devoted more than fifteen years to this.

2. Icons, prayers and other Christianity
So, what kind of nonsense is this - to be furnished with icons, to draw a pentagram, to lay out the Tarot, to throw runes, and so on. Such a non-acidic set of garbage immediately gives out a charlatan. The sorceress will never use monks and Christian symbols.

But for a layman living in an "Orthodox country" it is much more comfortable to see icons at a fortune-teller than skulls, and charlatans hang themselves with crosses, images and other bibles in order to somehow attract the layman to his reception.
Well, naturally, a devout person is easier to dissolve and deceive - also an argument. So, the presence of the attributes of Christianity is a sure sign of a charlatan. (With the exception of the grandmothers in the village, who work only through icons. But with grandmothers you will never find Tarot and Runes.)
3. Appearance
I have not yet met a single practitioner of any gender who has real potential, and at the same time looks like a clown. Look at the battle of psychics - there are clowns. Dressed up, with a bunch of trinkets, tons of makeup on their faces, long nails, crazy eyes that only see money and gold.
A cheeky manner of talking, arrogance, cynicism, pathos, tsatzki, provocative, bright makeup and lack of taste are the most striking signs of a charlatan in magic. And there are no exceptions. A worthy practitioner and looks worthy. You will never see a real shaman in Siberia who will walk around the village as a mummer. Only a clown can go out like this, because he attracts customers so much.
A real shaman looks like an ordinary grandfather and wears ceremonial clothes and a disguise, only for the duration of the ceremony. So it is in any magical tradition - modesty and politeness, friendliness and simplicity - these are the qualities that the teacher brings up in his student.
And the very last thing - no one but yourself will solve all your problems.
We can only help and direct, indicate the cause and support in its elimination, but never, no practitioner will pull on himself the karma of another person - this is the law!
No amount of money given to the sorcerer will cure stage four cancer and grow a severed limb. No spells can make a person experience true love and so on …
