Teotihuacan is a very interesting place. In my opinion, this city was generally the airport city of the Mayan civilization and many facts speak about this.
But about 1.5 years ago, information appeared that a fairly wide tunnel was found under the main square of the city, which goes towards the pyramid of the Moon.
It is known that experts carried out studies using computed tomography, scanning places at different points.
As a result, a lot of interesting things turned out. For example, there is a tunnel under the square, ten meters wide and it stretches all the way to the pyramid of the moon.
After that, a cavity was discovered, at a depth of 8 meters, approximately, under the pyramid itself. Also, experts said that the diameter of this chamber is about 15 meters and it may have been intended for rituals.

The only problem is that the entrance to these dungeons and chambers was never found. Apparently, under the city there really is an underground part, but how to get into it is a mystery.
Although it is possible that the authorities simply do not allow this to be done, as is the case in Egypt, because there is the same story.
On the other hand, all this was discovered by scanning in 2017-2018, which is not so long ago. Perhaps, after some time, there will be more news about the underground part of the most important Mayan city.
It is surprising that the specialists found the passages under the Egyptian Sphinx, which went towards the pyramid of Cheops, and here the same thing.
At the moment, one can only guess what is there and what the underground part was intended for, but I have one version.
If it is believed that under the sphinx there may be a library of a highly developed civilization of the past, then why can't this be?
There is a possibility that under the pyramid and the square it is really possible to find some knowledge and learn more about the Maya, as well as where they disappeared. But even if this knowledge is there, the public will never know about it, unfortunately.
