The Valley of the Mills (Valle dei mulini) is a gorge under the Piazza Tasso of the Sorrento Peninsula. It was once home to many watermills, powered by turbulent streams running along the bottom of a small canyon. Most of them have sunk into oblivion, but some long-abandoned medieval buildings have survived to this day.
