There are many artifacts that at first glance seem like a simple trinket. Upon detailed examination, they turn out to be a unique exhibit that cannot be reproduced by modern specialists with the entire set of the latest technologies. Feodosia earrings can be attributed to such an amazing artifact.
The famous artist Aivazovsky discovered this amazing find. Yes, he not only painted outstanding paintings, but also was fond of archeology and in 1853 he requested and then received permission to excavate near Feodosia (Crimea).
According to the official version, during the excavations, five burial grounds were discovered, four of them were completely empty, but in the fifth, a pleasant surprise awaited archaeologists. In addition to the famous earrings, many pottery and other gold jewelry were found in the burial.
The burial dates back to 2500 years and it turns out that the earrings are of such a venerable age.
As soon as the jewelers studied the artifact, it immediately became clear that these earrings are unique. The diminutiveness and detailing of the product is at such a high level that literally all the jewelers of the 19th century who tried to reproduce the artifact failed.
As it turned out, it is simply impossible to perform such a delicate work by the known methods. After all, the size of the whole earring is only 9 cm (it weighs 22 and 22.5 grams each), and the boat with its intricate ornament and other details is 1.1 cm high and 1.2 cm wide.
Even the world famous jeweler Carl Faberge tried to replicate this masterpiece, but he failed. Jewelers simply did not manage to get almost microscopic grain (when small drops of metal are placed in a group of 4 drops on a product in even rows).

All the blanks were simply melted and it was impossible to achieve such an effect.
The creation of this miracle of jewelry art was attributed to ancient Greek masters, who allegedly created such masterpieces (in total, it is known about 14 pairs of earrings created using a similar technology).
Of course, you can believe in the official version that the ancient Greeks at first knew how to make such masterpieces, and then they sharply forgot how an ancient civilization, the level of development of which was incomparably higher.
