An Italian scientist suggested that the Yellowstone supervolcano could explode at any moment, it is possible that even in 2016. The scientist described in great detail the consequences of this explosion in his book "Planet Earth, the last act", the year in which this event will take place promises to be really difficult for mankind.
A significant increase in temperature, which will lead to the melting of ice at the poles, will result in an influx of water from the World Ocean, which will flood many cities, including London, Venice and New York. Despite the rise in the overall water level, the supply of fresh water will be significantly reduced. The scientist does not call for blindly trusting his forecasts and believing that everything will happen this year, but he says that such a scenario cannot be ruled out.
His colleague is supported by seismologists from all over the world, predicting such a powerful explosion in Yellowstone that its consequences could be worse than a nuclear winter. Recently occurring near it small earthquakes are a sign of growing activity, which will eventually break out into a powerful catastrophe. However, most seismologists are in no hurry to draw conclusions about the time of destruction of the Yellowstone Caldera and cannot say if it will happen this year.
