In the US state of Indiana, a 12-year-old girl who killed her stepmother said she did it on the orders of an imaginary clown. This was reported by the WSBT22 TV channel.
The crime in question took place in July in the capital of Elkhart County, Goshen. The teenager, whose name has not been released, stabbed her stepmother Maria Torres with a knife, the woman died on the spot.
During interrogations, the schoolgirl stated that the fictional clown Laughing Jack, a character from the site about paranormal stories Creepypasta, called upon her to deal with her stepmother.
Court documents released Wednesday, November 18, showed that the girl was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder). The condition of the juvenile delinquent was diagnosed by three doctors at once, two of them also found symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder in the teenager. At the same time, the investigation also revealed that the girl had begged her father for help several months before the murder.
Psychiatrists declared the impossibility of convicting a juvenile delinquent, recommending that she be sent to a psychiatric institution for treatment. However, 16 clinics have already refused to admit the patient. The child is now being held in a pre-trial detention center for minors in Goshen.
