In the US state of Illinois in the city of Elton there is a haunted house, the so-called McPike Mansion. This house was built by its first owner Henry McPike in 1869 and to this day it does not cease to excite fans of the paranormal and all residents of Elton.
Despite the fact that the building had to be protected by the government, since it was included in the list of attractions in America, at the beginning of the twentieth century it was abandoned for entire decades.
But years later, in the middle of the twentieth century, the mansion acquired new owners, they were George and Sharin Ludke. Of course, a young couple, proud of their new purchase, began to run a marafet inside the building. But as soon as more significant procedures than just dusting began, the house seemed to come to life.
Sharyn was the first to see the ghost of the McPike mansion. It was the ghost of a young and pretty woman in her thirties.
After the incident, the husband and wife began to sort things out in the attic and, of course, found photographs there. The woman's ghost, seen earlier, belonged to the former mistress of the house - Sarah Wells.
It was an amazing ghost, perhaps the most distinctive feature of which is to embrace living people. Sarah constantly appeared unexpectedly and, opening her arms, approached the new owners of the house.
When Sarah appeared in the room, an incredibly strong and persistent smell of lilies, which, apparently, Sarah loved very much, began to come from somewhere.
But one day, while working in the garden, Sharyn noticed the silhouette of a tall man in the second floor window, whom she could not confuse with her husband. Sharyn entered that this is Sarah's husband, and he oversees her work.

It happened more than once that the doors opened and then slammed shut, as if someone had entered the room with anger. Sometimes, when George was on the ground floor, he heard children's laughter and low voices. Moreover, George and Sharin did not have children.
Sharyn woke up in the middle of the night from the fact that someone was walking in the attic, they constantly heard footsteps and sounds.
In the end, the couple broke down and invited the priests, and then the ghost hunters. All of them noted the presence of something or someone, but they could not drive away the ghosts.
