The Abode of Mercy in the city of Clairmorris in Ireland has long been deserted, the building of this old monastery gradually fell into disrepair, which is why they decided to demolish it in March of this year. At the same time, the “Frame Productions” TV company filmed a video showing how it all happened.
When the footage was shown on television (today you can watch it on the YouTube channel - video below), some viewers saw a ghostly phantom looking out of the window. Naturally, he was immediately dubbed the ghost of a nun (the monastery was for women).
The creator of the video, Kevin Griffiths, assures that he did not notice anything like this during the shooting, moreover, it could well be a play of light and shadow, which often happens in his profession. However, the words of the operator did not really convince anyone, because in the window you can actually see a rather clear female silhouette, which, well, cannot be confused with glare.
Irish believers immediately made the assumption that the spirit of a nun who once died here is protesting against the destruction of the monastery in this way or simply wants to convey something to the inhabitants of the city, perhaps the old building keeps some secrets that can now be buried forever.
True, there were also those who account for all this as a hoax, for example, local ethnographer Matty Masterson believes that a real person could have looked out the window, quite possibly, specifically in order to make the video most attractive and popular for viewers. Well, if so, then Kevin Griffiths did it wonderfully well, his video material really interested the Irish viewers, and now gathers thousands of Internet users from all over the world.
Researchers of the paranormal have no choice but to take on faith what is, because the building has already been destroyed, and further searches for anomalies here are practically reduced to zero.
