But the real problem that came up with Cameo's comments was that he had previously argued that users shouldn't try to make their devices unhackable, as it hinders national security efforts. However, in an interview with the US Department of Justice, Camey not only confirmed his previous remarks. All citizens must do the same if they want to protect their own privacy, he said.

Why does the webcam have to be covered?
When asked why it is worth covering your webcam with film, he replied that there are some reasonable things you should do, and this is one of them. He also confirmed that he is far from the only FBI member to use this technique. “You have to do this so that people who do not have the authority cannot watch you,” Kamei explained.
