They atoned for sins, went to the fire for them, redeemed sins (the practice of indulgences) and much more manipulated a person's faith. All this allowed the philosophers-religious scholars to interpret the term sin as a screen to cover up, in essence, a multitude of actions, for which a person should fall into a dependent position on the will of the church. And depending on the century, the church itself reacted differently, burned, bought, condemned, cast out sins. So the essence, I think, is clear. Sin is a Christian termindicating an error. Yes, in this vein, a Slav can perform them on his spiritual path. But here's an important explanation, sin depends solely on the will of the church, the Bible, scriptures, dogmas, in the end. And how do the principles of the world order of paganism intersect with dogmas?
