All of these abilities are necessary for predatory animals in order to hunt. With the help of such senses, cats can accurately determine where their prey is located. Investigating the abilities of animals, Japanese scientists used 30 domestic cats. They were interested in an object that was in a closed box.
The object located in the container was constantly moving around it, making various sounds. It turned out that cats reacted differently to those containers where the contents really were, and those where there was nothing.
This is what allows us to conclude that cats use their inner sense of the physics of processes, as well as special physical laws, to determine if there is an object of interest to them in a particular place. In doing so, they use the sounds they hear.
