Paisius of Athos is a Greek elder who won respect for himself not only in his homeland, but also far beyond its borders. He is famous for his spiritual teachings and prophecies, many of which have already come true. What did he predict about Russia for 2016 and 2017?
Paisiy was born on July 25, 1924. He graduated from high school and served in the army. But in 1950 he went to Mount Athos, where he soon became a novice of the hegumen of the Kutlumush monastery. On Mount Athos, he spent most of his life, only occasionally leaving it. Since May 1978, he began to live in a cell, where a lot of people came to him.
Paisius died near Thessaloniki in 1994. He was buried in the Theological Monastery. Believers still come to his grave.
Prophecies about relations between Russia and Turkey
After a Russian plane was shot down on the Turkish border, many recalled the prophetic words of the elder. Despite the fact that he is inferior to Vanga and Nostradamus in terms of his popularity among believers, his predictions come true with no less regularity.
Athonite monks were very often called “God's radio operators” and Orthodox monks. And, surprisingly, Father Paisiy, when he served in the army, was a real radio operator for 3.5 years. An amazing coincidence. The most popular is his prophecy about the Russian-Turkish conflict situation.
And what did the Athonite elder foresee? He said that the military conflict would come from the Mediterranean, and that the Russian army would be actively involved in these hostilities. And at this moment Turkey will have to cross its weapons with the power of Russia.

And so it turns out, because Syria is, in fact, the current Mediterranean. And the Russian Federation is at war with the Islamic State - a banned organization. The Russian military provided all possible assistance to the Syrian authorities to fight the illegal armed formation, but as a result of a misunderstanding, the SU-24 was shot down.
There is no exact date for the conflict in the prophecy. However, back in 1991, Paisius told the visiting students that he was seeing Constantinople fall.
But, speaking of the war, the elder clarified that many parties would participate in it, and a new redivision of the world would begin with the participation of many European countries.
And even the Eastern peoples will not be on the sidelines, but they will throw over an army of two hundred million and cross the Euphrates and reach Jerusalem itself. For Russia, he assigned the role of a defender not only of his people, but also of all Orthodox and Russian-speaking people.
The further development of events, according to the elder of Athos, is as follows: after the defeat of the Turkish state, the Russian army will leave the military strength of the Chinese people under the walls of Jerusalem.
Blood will flow like a river. He calls the battle for Constantinople the most massive massacre. There will be so much blood that a three-year-old bull can swim there. Moreover, not only Turkey, but also European states will oppose Russia. As you can see, the elder predicted a new world war. Is it so? Only time will give the exact answer.
What about the Greeks? They will not be drawn into a new world war. Istanbul will be conquered by European countries and will themselves hand it over to the Greek people. Any army that takes part in this battle will die. Turkey will cease to exist, and the victors will divide its territory among themselves.
Can you trust the elder? Everyone will answer this question himself. But we can say that his prediction about the collapse of the USSR came true, although it was given 10 years earlier. In the 1980s, no one believed him. And in vain, because after a few years such a powerful state collapsed.
What will happen to the Turkish people? Paisius's answer was unequivocal: the survivors would scatter around the world. One third of them will die. A third will accept Orthodoxy, and a third will go to live in Mesopotamia. Greek Constantinople is a prophecy of Paisius, he said that an Orthodox service would soon take place in the Church of St. Sophia. When the elder was on his deathbed, he said one memorable phrase:
“It's a pity that the Lord did not give me a few more years of life. I want to see the day when Constantinople will become Greek, and part of the Turkish lands will return to their historical origins - the Kurds and Armenians”.
Moral predictions
The predictions of Elder Paisios are interesting, in which he spoke about the leaders followed by the peoples. He always stressed that true faith has long since dried up. The priests sold themselves to the Golden Calf and become not the words of God, but just a tool for manipulating human consciousness. They do not convey the faith to the parishioners, but profit from them.
The Athonite elder predicted that the times would soon come when not a single suffering person would find protection from the horror that would be happening in God's temple. After all, there, under the guise of the words of Jesus Christ, they will instill in him the plans of the devil himself. And all because it is necessary to throw the unfortunate person into the hell of a real war and profit.
Morality will be lost. It will not be as such. And anyone who commits a sin will consider it the norm. And, no matter how scary it is to realize this, this prediction has already begun to come true, we ourselves can observe it.
Sodomy will begin to be demonstrated as an acceptable activity. And many will do this, rulers and entire countries will stand up to defend sin. And they will be indulged by none other than the clergy and leaders of various confessions themselves.
Speaking about the greed for profit, which is cultivated in modern society, he emphasized that these are attempts to lead humanity away from the true faith, from the true God. Indeed, in order to receive more and more profit, while not working, a person will have nothing to do but sell the sacred covenants.
In order to keep the faith, a person should pray constantly, this is the only way to save the soul. And then the Lord will protect the soul from temptations. After all, achieving happiness simply by enriching yourself is unrealistic - this is not a true blessing. The idea of material well-being is instilled in people with one goal - to turn them into livestock. When a person forgets about morality and conscience, then it will be much easier to manage the crowd.
