War. War is a terrible phenomenon that takes thousands of lives. It brings nothing but death and destruction, but as paradoxical as it may sound, war is the engine of progress. It so happened that many adaptations and devices familiar to all of us in everyday life were originally created for war. It doesn't matter what their purpose was, defense or attack. The meaning was the same. Even in ancient times, man realized that even animals can be used for personal interests. From the moment of realizing this fact, the development of the art of taming predators gradually began. Wild animals in the service of the ancient man not only helped to protect the home from any uninvited guests, but also took part in hunting and even raids on hostile tribes. This is how the first generation of fighting animals appeared.

With the development of civilization, man needed less and less to subjugate animals. Domestication and domestication became not a military craft, but for the most part an honorable pastime for people of blue blood. However, it didn't last long. Very quickly, a person realized that the scent of animals is much sharper than a human, and if you train the beast correctly, you can make him perform not only simple commands, but also act independently without direct instructions from a person. The animals were trained in such a way that, if the desired object was found, they would send a signal to a person. This feature of animals is so perfect that even in our century it is widely used.

However, even then, humans rarely used animals in war, with the exception of horses. Then there was too much blood on the battlefield and predatory animals were extremely difficult to control, as a result of which the person himself suffered significant losses. For a while, the training of fighting animals stopped. It was replaced by a more interesting and useful idea. The man drew attention to the fact that the pigeons always regularly find their way home, wherever they are. This is how the pigeon mail appeared. In the early years it was a fashionable short messaging fun, but then it also became an alternative means of communication in the army. Pigeon mail duplicated and sometimes even replaced horse couriers. This forever changed the tactics of war until the invention of the telegraph. All these animals required training, and there were thosewhich did not need training.

Rats. These rodents can not only scare away ladies, but also bring death with them. A century ago, rats were on every ship, in every house and in every castle. It was impossible to get rid of them. In addition, rats are one of the most intelligent and tenacious creatures. Some generations of rats have adapted so much that they began to possess absolute immunity to almost all known poisons. This prompted people to think that rats are a good biological weapon.

Plague is a terrible and terrible infection that destroyed not only the poor, but also the rich and even kings. Whole states died out of the plague. The irony of fate is that, with the simplest precautions, an infected carrier rat poses no danger. The saboteur can only put the rodent on a ship or in a carriage that will deliver this living bomb to its destination. Rats are social animals. The infected individual would find other rats and inevitably infect them. Then this infection reached people and became even more widespread. Unfortunately, man did not take into account that although the rat is easy to control, it is impossible to control the millions of infected plague rats and human carriers. The epidemic spread so quickly that some villages and towns and even small countries died out in a matter of weeks. Many cities were burned just to destroy the infected rats. The plague epidemic was stopped with great difficulty and it certainly became a good lesson for humanity. But have we learned anything?

In our century, the creation of fighting animals continues to develop successfully. Wild animals do not pass any checks and are able to independently cross the borders of states. These are ideal carriers for bacteriological weapons. Not only rats are suitable for the role of carriers, but also birds and even mosquitoes. Birds are constantly migrating, which already makes them ideal candidates for the role of war animals. Today everyone knows how dangerous it is to use animals as weapons carriers. The plague was not forgotten and the necessary conclusions were drawn. The views of scientists turned to the animal world, which is usually hidden from our eyes. Nobody wants a new plague epidemic, because it is uncontrollable.

Over time, humans have created a huge variety of fighting strains of viruses and bacteria that allow carriers to infect everyone very quickly. Outbreaks of such diseases pass with lightning speed and cannot be contained. This is much faster than a plague outbreak. After a few days, the animal carriers die, as do all carriers. By the end of the month, the enemy state will be completely devastated, and the danger of infection will disappear along with the last carrier. This is a terrible and inhumane use of animals, in which even the creators themselves see a threat to themselves. Today, science is developing that allows people to gain complete control over the entire animal world.

Absolute power over animals - may soon become a reality. The implantation of chips can create predatory animals that will be completely controlled by humans in any conditions. Genetic engineering will make it possible to breed completely new types of predators. Already today, mankind is practicing the creation of hybrids that have impressive combat characteristics, but are incapable of independent reproduction. Although such experiments are prohibited in many states, it cannot be said with certainty that they are not being conducted.

Scientists and futurists predict not only the creation of new breeds, but also the breeding of chimeras. The beast lacks intelligence for combat effectiveness, so many see prospects in crossing humans with predatory animals. A completely controlled creature with a human mind and powers many times superior to human ones is what all the militarists of the world dream of. This is a super-soldier who, although he possesses a person, is not. This is a perfect fighting animal, which in a few decades, and maybe even earlier, will completely replace ordinary soldiers.
