I served in the army for a year - from November 2010 to November 2011. In which city, branch of the military, and also the number of the military unit I will not name, since I served in a secret unit, and we signed a whole stack of non-disclosure papers. I can only say that we had a secret command post of the operational-strategic command, as well as a nuclear bomb shelter.

After training we were assigned to special technical combat posts. As the officers said, I got the most difficult of them - there were all the control and measuring devices, as well as the automation and electronics of the command post. They put me there for a reason: firstly, I am an electronic engineer by education, and secondly, I already had experience in a similar field - three years of experience.

They were constantly on duty at the posts. Usually one or two people were exhibited there, who were changed at a certain time. At my post, I found myself completely alone. As they explained to me, there was no more person with the necessary qualifications.

So I spent most of the entire service there, at the post, underground. In principle, the posts were equipped with everything necessary for life.

After the very first combat duty, officers and warrant officers began to approach me one by one and ask if everything was all right. At first I decided that these inquiries relate to the equipment at the post, in the sense: is it working properly. Gradually, however, all these inquiries began to alarm me.

I understood - something is wrong here! The equipment on duty was not worth such careful inquiries. Besides, it seems that the officers were more interested in my condition than in the serviceability of the instruments.

There was one more fact that at first I did not attach much importance to: all my colleagues had mentors - "grandfathers" who had served in the same posts before them. I didn't have such a mentor. As it turned out, there was no one in this post for several years before me!

These facts were alarming more and more. I felt somehow uncomfortable. A few days after my appointment to the post, I received a frightening explanation for these oddities. It turned out that in 2006 a soldier hanged himself at my post. The situation is, in principle, classic - the beloved left, got married. Another fighter was put in his place.

Promotional video:

Yes, only after the very first night spent at the post he was taken to the hospital - the guy went crazy. Then another soldier was sent there. The same thing - after the first night he ended up in a madhouse. Not knowing what to think, the officers brought the priest to the post, he consecrated the room. And yet they did not dare to put another soldier there. And it is unlikely that this would have happened - not a single fighter, even under the threat of disbat, agreed to accept this terrible post. As a result, he was simply "frozen".

And at the end of 2010, they decided to reopen the post and put a person there. Guess who this person is?..

I can say with confidence that neither day nor night, nor before I learned all this, nor after anything unusual happened in my post. Although, of course, after the truth was revealed to me, not only being there, I was even afraid to approach there. And even more so to go to bed there - for the first few nights I could not close my eyes.

And yet, my entire service took place at this post, and nothing terrible happened during all this time, thank God. I don't know what caused the madness of my two predecessors. The first thing that comes to mind is that they were somehow influenced by the spirit of the hanged soldier. However, this is all speculation. The truth is known only to those two who ended up in an insane asylum. By the way, their further fate is unknown to me.

To tell the truth, more than fear, another feeling raged within me - anger. “How to understand my appointment to the post? I thought. "Did the officers find a guinea pig?" They knew very well: the same thing can happen to me as to those two. The command of the unit, you see, decided to experiment: will this happen to me or not? Of course, no one wanted me to suffer such a fate. And nobody valued my health only.
