Anticipating death

1990, summer - it happened at the Ryazan Airborne School. The authorities were expecting the arrival of eminent guests and, as always in such cases, they were going to surprise them with a spectacle unseen for an ordinary (civilian) person.

Nobody specially prepared, the guys are all as one, ready at any time even for battle, even for a parade. Only one of them, a warrant officer in rank, was strongly advised by the command and colleagues-colleagues from the TsSPK to stay on the sidelines during the demonstration jumps. Not because the ensign was something worse than others, on the contrary, he was, as they said then, "an excellent student in military and political." But the day before, his parachute did not open, and the ensign only at the last moment was able to escape on a spare.

Actually, this kind of adventure is considered an emergency and requires a thorough investigation of the reasons for the refusal. Not everyone after this will immediately be able to calm down the trembling in the knees, but the ensign was not a coward and immediately went with confidence to the second jump. He jumped, and … the new parachute also did not open, again there was barely enough height for the reserve one! The paratroopers, just like the pilots, are superstitious people - everyone unanimously began to advise the ensign to take a break so as not to tempt fate - after all, there may not be a third time …

And the next day, the demonstration performances in front of the guests were scheduled. The sky was full of parachutes. In the end, An-2 took off, in which there was a warrant officer, who did not listen to the advice of friends and commanders. A dozen parachutists jumped out of the plane, the last one, already at low altitude, jumped out a warrant officer and … caught on the plane! In fact, it was so conceived, he was tied with a halyard to the An-2 and flew after him "on a trailer." The guests were numb with horror, they thought that a misfortune happened to the man! But An-2 went down and flew at low level in front of the stand. The audience saw that the “victim” smiled and even saluted the guests with his hand according to the charter. Everyone who was not familiar with such a landing "proprietary" trick breathed a sigh of relief, they were explained that the plane would now gain altitude again and the warrior, freed from the halyard, descend to earth in the usual way …

The guests did not see what happened next, and many of them never found out about it … The plane flew at a low altitude past all the spectators and already began to gain altitude, and it was then that an air pit, so unloved by the pilots, got in the way. … The pilots were experienced and did not let the "Annushka" sink very low, so that the flying live "trailer" touched the ground. But, as for evil, there was a pillar nearby, the only one on the edge of the field. The pilots felt the blow, releasing the commander looked out the open door and saw that the ensign was covered in blood. The co-pilot came out of the cockpit, the two of them tried to pull the victim back, but this was beyond their strength. We contacted the dispatcher and agreed on the place to drop the body, which showed no signs of life. The halyard was cut off when the An-2 literally slid over the river at minimum speed,The ensign was not allowed to drown - rescuers were already waiting nearby. But it was all in vain, as it turned out, the warrant officer died immediately: that pillar blew him half of his head … They say that none of his colleagues was particularly surprised. This death was not unexpected for everyone. We can say that it was the "third call" …

Another paratrooper, with the call sign "Gyurza", described in the newspaper "Day of the Warrior" [1998, No. 4, p. 4] a case when he and his subordinates almost by force kept a police major in the school building: it was impossible to leave the school either By no means - enemy snipers were shooting all around, but the major, contrary to persuasion and common sense, stubbornly torn out. In the end, the paratroopers ran out of patience: if you want to go to certain death - let him go! However, the major did not even have time to approach the exit from the building: the only stray bullet that came from somewhere from afar hit him in the head …

In such stories, there is what can be called the term "premonition of death" …

Promotional video:

It comes to everyone, just the majority realizes it very late (or realizes it after that, provided, of course, that there is the notorious life after death). And it comes in different ways. To some - absolutely calmly and without emotion, like a weather report on the radio …

For example, 18-year-old Mongolian Sergelen, the last of the Khuvsgul aimag shamans, developed her predictive talents thanks to the help of her former astrologer President Datseren-guai, after which she “simply” learned that she would die 28 years later [ITAR-TASS message of 14.11. 1997]. Therefore, at the end of 1997, the girl declared in the editorial office of the Huh Tolbo newspaper that she wanted to leave for America, where she could “live the remaining years like a human being” and not in Mongolia, where everyone “hated her and threatened with physical violence” …

For others, warnings about the date of death (especially near death) do not come so calmly. How a person perceives such "greetings from the other world" largely determines his character … But even if you are iron, on your stone face, without a hint of a tear, those around you will still consider something that will give out the "seal of death." In extreme situations, and especially in war, it is not so uncommon for the colleagues around him to suddenly feel about a person that their comrade is not a tenant.

However, death is an intimate matter, and much more often the approaching breath of death is felt first of all by the “chosen one”. The same “Gyurza” in the article “Fate and Soldier” described the death of Lieutenant “Lotus” in August 1996 in Grozny in the following way: “He suddenly broke down, wilted and, sitting by the fire, he lamented:“I will die tomorrow …”And neither how could not bring him out of this state. And at dawn, after Dudayev's counterattack, we dragged the "Lotus" wounded in the stomach into the house. He mumbled only one thing: -I'm dying, I am dying … I looked into his maddened eyes and suddenly realized that he had already erased himself from life. Death came, and he had a presentiment of it in advance … ".

Read the memoirs of generals and ordinary veteran soldiers - in almost all books, the memoirist describes, savoring the details, the scenes of the death of his comrades in arms (to be honest, this part of the memoirs is most interesting to most readers). And in many books the situations are similar: a colleague comes to a friend (future memoirist) in the evening (less often in the morning) on the eve of the battle and says that he will be killed in tomorrow's battle (assault, shootout, duty), and therefore asks to convey the letter (or in words) to his wife (to children) that he loved her (or that he died as a hero). To all admonitions and appeals to reason and common sense, the hero usually replies that he “knows for sure” and there is no need to reassure him. And then, as a template, the hero is killed in front of the memoirist's eyes or under such circumstances that preclude the very idea of a possible suicide (otherwise you never know what you might think) …

Why am I? Besides, there is probably no need to explain the main signs of such warnings. Instructions are not needed, since everyone (at least from the described heroes) quickly guessed the essence of the warning. It means that the time will come - God forbid, that later - we will guess, if we are not completely deaf to our feelings.

And I also think: what would have happened if that warrant officer-paratrooper had listened to his inner voice and the advice of his comrades and had missed the demonstration performances of his native Ryazan school? Perhaps, on that day, he would have died anyway, for example, he would have drowned while fishing or choked on bread. Fate? Or maybe nothing would have happened - he would have returned from fishing and would have continued to serve faithfully to his native Fatherland. It also happens, but these cases are somehow not remembered, they are not bright, or something …

However, some kind of experiments have also been performed here: since the 1960s, a physicist, military astrologer, captain of the first rank A. S. Buzinov conducted his research in Leningrad, who, on orders from government and military organizations, was engaged in forecasting various critical and catastrophic situations using astrological methods, including plane crashes and armed conflicts. And when checking the astrological charts of pilots at one of the military airfields, forecasters drew attention to the clear symbols of death in an experienced pilot number 1-17 (the astrologers did not know the names of the pilots initially). The command of the unit was informed of the conclusions and recommendations to temporarily suspend him from flights for at least ten days, which they did. The pilot "1-17" received time off, got into his "Zhigulenok" and crashed into a standing bus on the highway ["Svet" 1998, No. 11/12, p.48] …

And it follows from this, perhaps, the most important and most difficult question in all these stories - why, in fact, people are warned about imminent death?

1) Maybe this is simply a property of death itself? No, it doesn't look like it. Otherwise, everyone would know about the approach of death, but this is far from the case. Or maybe there are some strong personalities or people who have good psychoenergetic protection (guardian angels), who “you just can't get overwhelmed at one go,” except from the third or fourth attempt …

Perhaps they are warning the chosen few? Chosen by whom or what?

2) So this is an act of nobility in front of individual heroes? So to speak, he earned respect - then Death will serve you according to a separate program, and all the rest will be filled up in a crowd! Too noble! And besides, who needs it? …

3) Perhaps this is necessary for the long-dead ancestors, founders and progenitors of the clan, the legendary saint protectors of the clan, or something, someone else from the same area. Of course, this kind of mystical explanation looks hardly logical, but if you recall the numerous legends about "family ghosts" warning the next relatives of imminent death, then there is no other, more materialistic explanation.

Recall, for example, the famous ghost of the "White Lady", the family ghost, for centuries, by its appearance, was warning the death of someone from the royal family of the Prussian kings of the Hohenzoller; by the way, the same "lady" appeared in the palace of Kaiser Wilhelm-11 in July 1914 shortly before the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and the outbreak of World War I. without prejudice, then we are not yet ready to speak seriously about the informational life of ancient spirits …

4) Then, perhaps, it is necessary for our deceased relatives, who meet the souls of those who have just died, protect them from, so to speak, a nervous shock. Why don’t souls from the “other world” begin to calm their relative while he is still alive? And in fact, in many cases, a death warning is an act of calming down on the part of previously deceased relatives. In May 1986, my future wife's grandmother died quietly after her long-dead children “came” to her at night, and Baba Pasha stopped breathing as soon as she stroked all the baby heads visible only to her …

In the 81st clinical hospital in Moscow, a nurse of the traumatology department, Oksana, told me how in 1996 the nurse did not see in the middle of the night, but heard and felt the presence of an invisible person who came to the patient, after which the patient woke up for the last time and said that he would die at 2 p.m. - and so it happened …

Another friend of mine, Nastya Lyukmanova, herself saw how Nastya's long-dead older brother came to her mother at the time of her death on an autumn night in 1997; a little later, in February 1999, she again saw a ghostly visitor who came to her sick father - and two days later he was gone …

Such examples, I am sure, are very, very numerous. There are common features in them, namely: relatives "from the other world" usually appear at night and come to the already hopelessly sick people, that is, they reassure those who are difficult or impossible to save. Why do they come and do they come to the healthy? It is difficult to suspect loving relatives, even those who have died, of a desire for early death of living relatives. Even for the sake of "an early meeting in heaven" …

5) Maybe their goal is to warn those who are in mortal danger? This can be achieved, for example, by direct advice. A certain relative (angel, spirit, vision) comes in a dream and explains that “tomorrow you need to stay at home” … In such cases, punctures also occur, Captain A. Guselnikov told me about one of them: in the fall of 1996 in Abkhazia, a military paratrooper major Viktor Shchitnikov, whose until that moment no one had seen any doubts or fears - only a clear and calm service, "suddenly" did not really want to go to check the guards, and his bad feeling came true - after checking the second checkpoint at the UAZ”Was ambushed, and the body of the major with traces of torture was found several days later thrown into a local dump. What Shchitnikov dreamed of remained a secret, but colleagues recalledwhat it cost them then to start talking about this topic - and in the barracks above them "suddenly and by themselves" light bulbs burst …

6) But what about a person who must be warned and saved, but who does not believe in God or in the devil, who does not sleep well and does not like to solve dreams? For this, only the last option is suitable - forceful salvation, it will help in cases when it is already impossible to explain something with words or analogies. Sometimes it is much easier to remotely influence a “soulless” technique than a head “closed” for extraneous signals … An example? My longtime acquaintance, just before the flight on the plane, at first was slightly poisoned with lunch, then on the street I almost got hit by a car, got into the car, barely avoided a couple of accidents and only after that he spat and returned the ticket. As you may have guessed, that plane never made it to its destination …

Who, again, can do this painful and thankless task (after all, the saved person does not even recognize the names of the benefactors)? The list of applicants is generally small: let's say it is God himself and his angels, deceased relatives and friends, great-grandchildren and powerful rescuers from Future Time. To all the other powerful forces (even if they exist), to be honest, if your life is needed, it is not enough to sweat so much on an invisible front … It would seem that for your powerful great-grandchildren there is an even more crude option of salvation - to take and grab, detain, bind a person for a while … but no, apparently, due to a number of laws, this cannot be done (direct interference in the course of History is punishable) …

Whether these versions are true or not, but in any case, honestly, few of us would like to miss our "third call" …
