In 1997, together with Edward Lee, a renowned St. Petersburg researcher in the field of ancient civilizations, I traveled across the countries of South America. We also visited Peru, in the mysterious Nazca Valley. Nazca is a small provincial town in Peru, which is under the protection of UNESCO. Today he is famous all over the world. Not far from the town in the mountains, a huge plateau of 500 square kilometers was found, painted with strange lines, geometric shapes, spirals and beautifully executed drawings, but so gigantic in size that you can only see them from a bird's eye view. Hundreds of articles have been written about Nazca, thousands of kilometers of film have been shot, thousands of photographs have been taken … But the secret of Nazca remains a mystery, continuing to excite the minds of inquisitive inhabitants of the planet.
CIVILIZATION BUSINESS CARD
For the first time, American pilots were able to photograph the entire plateau. It resembles some well-drawn map, where drawings play a clearly secondary role.
A remarkable woman, the German mathematician and historian Maria Reiche, who lived here for about 30 years, devoted her life to the disclosure of the Nazca secret. Local residents raised Maria Reiche almost to the rank of saints. After all, it was her works that brought good luck to this forgotten land. Previously, agriculture was the main source of income for the local population. Cotton was grown here. But everything depended on precipitation. It rains - there is a harvest; no rain, no harvest. I must say that heavy rains fall in Nazca every 7-12 years. In ancient times, artificial irrigation was used, but these technologies are practically forgotten today. In a word, the population of these regions eked out a miserable existence until tourists came here, thanks to Maria Reich.

Tourism is an inexhaustible life, the smart Indians immediately understood this and mastered a new profession. Today, Nazca has built hotels according to international standards, and the tourism infrastructure is fully developed.

To look at the drawings from the air, we ordered the next morning a "sightseeing air taxi" - a 4-seater airplane that looks like a dragonfly. It was hard to imagine how with such a wind, and they are strong here, he would be able to rise and stay in the air. A few meters from the runway, there is a small shed with a stretched awning - ticket offices and a waiting room.
Having paid a little more, in 15 minutes we were already sitting on the plane. As soon as the Door slammed behind us, the airplane scattered, jumped a little, took off and began to quickly gain altitude. He headed for the mountain ranges in the distance.
A fragment of a field with lines and drawings opened in front of us. They seemed to have been executed with a beam from above and resembled computer ones. The lines then went beyond the horizon, then joined at one point, then diverged in different directions as rays. Spirals, triangles, irregular shapes, clear drawings of animals, fish, birds. From the height to which our plane climbed, only part of the field is visible.
THINKING ABOVE THE MAP
The lines lie, as it were, in several planes. One gets the impression that they are not drawn on a plane, but displayed in space. My attention was attracted by 4 spirals located along the entire field diagonally. Two spirals are twisted in one direction, two in the opposite direction. There is a half-helix and one-third of the helix, like some kind of cipher or formula. The shaded plane is bent into an angle. The lines are straight and zigzag. They intersect, form planes, gather in a bundle and diverge from one point.
If you look closely at the lines, it seems that the space within the geometric shapes is mobile. It shrinks, stretches, twists …
You can assume anything. For example, maybe some special mathematical formulas and geometric signs are used here, which are understandable only to specialists in a certain field.
IN SEARCH OF THE CREATOR
Many questions arise. For example, why is the plateau, located in the place of frequent sandstorms next to the world's highest sandy mountain, absolutely clean. Why is it huge, 500 sq. kilometers, the "map" remains unchanged? It is seen as clearly today as it was thousands of years ago. Moreover, both day and night. It is especially good to observe it on a full moon. To confirm this, I will use the story of the archaeologist from Houston John McKay:
“Once we explored the valley on a full moon by helicopter,” he says. - We flew from the side of Easter Island (southwest. - N. Ch.). And suddenly, when the moon rose to a certain height, we saw how the lines were distinctly silvery. Separate fragments of the "drawing" with the movement of the moon became especially clearly visible.
Involuntarily, the following question arises: who and how made these most accurate calculations? And the most important question: what information does this strange drawing carry? Who is it addressed to?
Maria Reiche suggested that this is a calendar by which the locals knew the time of field work. But it is difficult to accept this version already because it is extremely inconvenient to use such a gigantic calendar, which is entirely visible only from a height of several thousand kilometers. Local guides say that those who created the calendar used Hang Gliders. But then the question is, at what height did these strange hang-gliders fly?
In my opinion, this is complete absurdity. John McKay is of the same opinion. He stated flatly when asked if the aborigines could have used the plateau drawings in any way:
- Why do people need them if they are visible only from a height of 6 thousand meters? After all, the fact that these are not just some lines, but well-executed drawings and drawings, was discovered by the pilots who were mastering the air routes over South America. Archaeological materials, which I now have, clearly tell me that the local population does not need such drawings.
And to make a drawing of such dimensions with high accuracy and geometric correctness by hand, without special equipment, without a doubt, is impossible. The length of only one beak of a 600-meter bird is 100 meters. And yet, in comparison with the geometric shapes that stretch out for kilometers, these "birds" seem tiny icons and clearly play a secondary role. In addition, melts are clearly visible at the edges of the lines, as if left by a laser beam.
LEGENDS OF THE Tribe
Who needed such a map? Of course, only for air navigators. And the fact that they were is a fact that was recorded in the official organ of the international Society of Ancient Astronautics "Enshent Skies" (it turns out that there is such a society in the USA). Legends about air navigators are common among different nations. Especially there are many of them among the tribes of South Africa. Air navigators are revered as gods or "space people". For example, one of the African legends begins like this:
- Once the God Maui and the space man Bel Kororoti descended from heaven. Maui flew in on a ball of fire, and his friend - on a strange tree that emits thunder and lightning. Both had weapons that hit a target at a great distance without any sound. At first, the tribes wanted to kill them, but it was impossible to get close to them, because all the people who tried to attack them scattered to the sides from some strong unknown blow …
The aliens were not aggressive at all. They brought with them unknown knowledge and taught them to people. God Maui taught them how to use fire, and Bel Kororothi taught them crafts. The space man took an Indian girl as his wife. When her daughter was born, he again rushed to heaven on his tree. When his daughter grew up, he returned. And then, when he flew away, he often took his daughter with him. Upon his return, Bel generously treated the local population to delicious, but unfamiliar food.
It is difficult to say who these navigators were. But they traveled in some kind of airborne vehicles, and they might need a "map" that was so perfectly preserved in Nazca. It is clearly a "visiting card" of representatives of a highly developed civilization, maybe on earth, and maybe on another planet. We are somehow wary of the word "cosmic", which is perceived by our consciousness as a synonym for "alien". And this word is usually pronounced with an ironic smile. But isn't the Earth a cosmic body? Whoever the air navigators were, they really existed, and perhaps they exist, because it is not for nothing that the "map" of the El Ilhenyo plateau is still in "working condition".
Logically, it is difficult to choose a place more reliable than here. It is perfectly flat, tilted at an angle in the southwest direction. It is open to winds from four sides that do not subside, which allows it to naturally clear of sand. Maybe this is the exact calculation of the builders, who foresaw everything to keep the "map" in perfect order for centuries. In addition, in these arid places there is no rain for several years, so there is practically no cloud cover and this place is always open for observation from a great height.
So as long as this plateau is not destroyed and the moon and the sun appear in the sky, nothing will harm these drawings. True, modern man has already put his hand here. He built a road and damaged lines and drawings. It is always easier to destroy than to preserve and create. Nazca is an example of a reasonable attitude of a person to his planet. We are, in comparison with those who left us this message, simply barbarians. If we don't change our perception of the world, we will simply perish.
