It is possible that this find, which many media reported about in 2013, belongs to the category of amazing all mankind's knowledge of the ancient world of things. Although … but first things first.
A group of tourists on foot, about two hundred kilometers from the village of Tigil, located on the Kamchatka Peninsula, discovered an unusual fossil - as if a lot of parts from cars had suddenly turned to stone. The tourists themselves did not remove it from the ground, took photographs and handed them to the university St. Petersburg. A group of archaeologists soon arrived from there, headed by Yuri Golubev.
The extracted stone was subjected to a comprehensive study, after which an incredible conclusion was made - the find is about four hundred million years old, and it is very reminiscent of modern gear mechanisms. According to Golubev, the find contains hundreds of cogwheels and appears to be part of some kind of machine. It was immediately dubbed the "Kamchatka Mechanism".

The news of the find spread around the world, causing conflicting feelings. A repeated spectral analysis of geological rocks and "machine parts", carried out in the United States, confirmed the age of the find and added questions to scientists - was there really an intelligent civilization on Earth 400 million years ago? The fact that the find was made among volcanic rocks (and also the fact that it probably spent a long time in a sphang bog) explains the excellent preservation of the "gears".
However, skeptics and opponents of the "mechanical" theory of this artifact give their reasons - the Kamchatka arc is about sixty million years old, how did the "machine" get into "volcanoes and swamps" four hundred million years ago? And the fact that petrified shells of molluscs are located next to the "gears" suggests that the "details" themselves are not the same fossilized organisms: ancient sea lilies, for example?

Most likely, this is so, but the Kamchatka mechanism, created not by an intelligent civilization, but by Nature, undoubtedly also deserves attention - because in fact it is absolutely incredible.
