In order to make sensational discoveries, today you don't have to go anywhere - you just have to have a computer. Recently, Valentin D., a resident of Nizhniy Tagil, while studying satellite images of the Andes (Chile, South America), discovered on them, as he claims, traces of an ancient lost city, as well as a giant rock painting of artificial origin.

The city, the snake and the Incas

According to an amateur researcher, the photographs clearly show the wall that is the façade of a building carved out of rock. Its length is 87 meters. The coordinates of the object are 36 ° 8'36.64 "S, 71 ° 0'20.95" W. It is visible only from a height, from the ground it looks like an ordinary rock. Since the wall is located in a hard-to-reach place, neither locals nor tourists could find it so far.

But that's not all! On one of the rocks, Valentin D. examined a gigantic pattern, which, according to him, is clearly of man-made origin. The proposed geoglyph is one kilometer long. Valentine believes that the drawing depicts a giant snake. The coordinates of the object are 36 ° 7'55.76 "S, 70 ° 59'47.30" W.

Another geoglyph is allegedly located at the coordinates 36 ° 7'40.39 "S, 71 ° 0'58.27" W. This is a huge human figure, which, according to the Tagilian, can only be seen from space. Its length is 20 meters. The person is wearing typical Inca clothing, says Valentine …

He reported his discoveries to the Chilean embassy in Russia. Not so long ago, a reply came from the Chilean presidential administration. It says that the information has been received and will be forwarded to the country's Ministry of Education, which oversees the National Council of Monuments.

Nazca and Sonora's robots

Actually, the discovery of geoglyphs, and even huge ones, is not at all such a rarity. So, in 1927, pictograms were accidentally discovered in the Peruvian Nazca desert - they were seen by pilots of an airplane flying over the terrain … The images, the so-called geoglyphs, were gigantic in size: some of them exceeded 100 meters in length. Among them - a spider, a bird, a monkey, as well as a strange humanoid figure …

Several years ago, a research group from Japan's Yamagata University led by Professor Masato Sakai, using satellite imagery data, discovered two previously unknown drawings in the southern part of the Nazca plateau. One of them is a human face with eyes, mouth and ears measuring four by three meters. Others resemble the contours of some incomprehensible animal, or perhaps a fish or insect seven meters long.

There are similar drawings on lava fields in the Mexican Sonoran Desert. On the rocks in the Chilean Antofogasta desert, huge figures, similar to robots, are painted, their height is 121 meters.

Marry man

In the state of South Australia, 200 kilometers from the city of Port Augusta, there is a tiny place called Murray. At the end of June 1998, the whole world suddenly started talking about him. Pilot Track Smith, flying from Coober Pedy, noticed a huge image of a man on a deserted plateau 60 kilometers from Murray!

The Murrian man (as he was later christened) was an image of an aboriginal. In his left hand he held a stick, the hair on the back of his head was gathered in a knot. The beard, chest hair and penis were clearly visible … The figure was about four kilometers long. It could only be viewed from a height of three to ten thousand meters.

Today, the Marrian man is considered the largest geoglyph in the world. True, there is a version that it is not of ancient origin, but was created in our time, and with the help of computer technology …

Turgai patterns

Another sensation was the discovery on the Turgai plateau in Northern Kazakhstan of giant geometric patterns formed from earth and clay. The first 50 structures were discovered back in 2007 using the Google Earth service. The patterns were of various shapes, mainly crosses and squares. It has been established that embankments with a height of 20 centimeters to one meter were built manually. Their area was very large - from 90 to 400 square meters.

Analysis of the soil in the area of geoglyphs made it possible to date them to a relatively late Bronze Age - from the 1st millennium BC to the 1st century AD. But there is also an assumption that the age of the structures found is three to seven thousand years, and sometimes exceeds eight thousand years …

As for the discovery of Valentin D., it is too early to draw conclusions. Only after the expedition to that area will it be possible to say something for sure. In the meantime, these discoveries can be considered only in the form of a hypothesis.
