Since ancient times, people have used spiritual beliefs to understand the world.

While these beliefs are often dismissed as irrational and untrue, science has recently been discovering that, after all, there may be something in our deepest spiritual beliefs that can be proven.

1. Time is an illusion

According to Buddhist philosophy, there is no distinction between past, present and future. Everything we experience is just a series of present moments, meaning that one time exists in all times. Scientists ridiculed this ancient belief for years until Einstein proved it to be true.

Einstein proved that time is relative. We can understand this idea of relative time by thinking about space. When we look at stars, we see light that has traveled for billions of years, and we observe stars that may have ceased to exist centuries ago. In essence, we are looking at the past, although it seems that what we see is happening now.

2. Matter is an illusion

The great spiritual traditions of India usually teach that the world is an illusion. This seems contrary to our perception of the world, where things seem solid and real. However, the idea that the apparent strength of objects is in fact an illusion is supported by science.

Every solid object is made up of atoms. When quantum physicists look closely at atoms, they find smaller and smaller building blocks and more and more empty space. There is nothing solid at the base of these apparently solid objects. Many scientists note that "matter" is made up of tiny vibrating strings of energy.

In other words, the physical world that you see around you is made of energy, or more precisely, electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves are vibrations of electric and magnetic fields that can carry energy from one place to another. This proves that everything you see is made of energy.

3. Death is just a change in shape

Philosophies and spiritual beliefs associated with death are numerous. However, in our time, many people believe that death is the end leading to the complete destruction of a person. But Einstein himself said about this: "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another."

4. Our thoughts create our reality

Ancient philosophers and modern coaches have argued that reality is a consequence of our thoughts. Although Newtonian science argued that we live in a mechanical universe where everything could be reduced to cause and effect, some people still believed in the ability of the human mind to change the world. And then the field of quantum physics was born, forever changing the way scientists think about objective reality.

In quantum experiments, subatomic particles only exist as a wave of probability until they are observed. When this happens, the wave breaks down in time. This is known as the Observer Effect. This means that the observer created reality by simply perceiving it. Thus, our thoughts truly change the world.
