On the territory of the Central Regional Hospital of Dnepropetrovsk there is a church of St. Seraphim Sarovskiy (Kholodilnaya st., 60), specializing in driving out demons from hospital patients and ordinary townspeople.
Notices pasted on the poles of Dnepropetrovsk invite you to visit the site "exorcist", which, in turn, directs visitors to the hospital Orthodox priest Viktor Bely.
According to him, the only effective remedy for mental problems and diseases, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, is not medicine (the methods of which he considers "either superficial or malignant"), but exorcism - the rite of exorcism of the demons who have infiltrated a person.
“Ukraine is one of the few countries where exorcism is practiced today. We have Orthodox priests - exorcists who drive out demons from the human body. But, unfortunately, there are not so many of them. And there are thousands of times more obsessed people who need, shall we say, treatment …”, Fr. Victor Bely.
The clergyman claims that “Demons come in … from sports, passion for rock music. A demon can be "picked up" in courses of accelerated learning of foreign languages, at the TV, at a session with a "folk healer" …"
The site "exorcist.ua", created by Fr. Victor, helps to get healing even at home: there is an instruction - step-by-step technology. You need to fill out a subscription form, on the next page - the prices for exorcism and other "products": "a report - 50 hryvnia, remembrance in prayers for 40 days - 20 hryvnia, 6 months - 50 hryvnia, 1 year - 100 hryvnia. A donation to a temple through a bank is also tantamount to eternal commemoration in the holy temple."
The sign on the door of the basement room reads: "hospital church of St. Seraphim of Sarov", jurisdiction - the UOC of the Kiev Patriarchate. However, Simeon, Bishop of the Dnepropetrovsk diocese of the UOC-KP, denies the church's involvement in his diocese and calls for the exorcist clergy to be “driven in the neck”. The local diocese of the UOC (MP) also stated that the surname "White" is not listed among the priests of the diocese. For its part, the regional department of internal policy, responsible for the registration and registration of religious communities, in its letter No. 503 / 01-08 confirmed that on the street. Refrigeration 60 (address of the district hospital) no religious communities registered. And the regional health department said that questions about the activities of the temple "do not belong to the competence of the main health department."
Priest Victor was not there when the local journalists arrived. His assistant, Father Gennady, carried out a kind of diagnostics for obsession with the help of two devices that he drove over the visitors: "the cap of a monk from the Pochaev monastery" and "a cross with the relics of St. Seraphim." Immediately he gave a conclusion: the demons were not found, but "just in case" he still recommended to cook 50 UAH. and attend an exorcism next Saturday.
