Many dream about a surprise in the style of "a magician in a blue helicopter will suddenly arrive" and without any effort on our part will get rid of problems. It turns out that this is not so impracticable if we talk about a well-known technique - hypnotherapy. What actually cures hypnosis, and in what cases it is better to refuse "sensational" sessions, says our expert.

In theory, people have known hypnosis for several millennia. Even the ancient shamans knew how to introduce their fellow tribesmen into a trance - to raise their fighting spirit, instill certain rules of behavior and even cure ailments.

And from the point of view of science of the XXI century, hypnosis is a trance state of the brain. It resembles a dream, but a special dream. If we compare the brain “dozing off” in this way with a dark forest, then one point will glow in it. This is a "beacon" through which the hypnotized person contacts the one who immersed him in such a state. But he is able to hear and feel only a hypnotist, he has no reactions to the rest of the external world. This "point of contact" is called a report.

Still, sleep is an important but by no means the only part of hypnosis. Suggestion (suggestion) occurs through the report. A person can "invest in attitudes" that he is healthy, rich, talented - and he will behave accordingly. Realistically and erase his negative programs - for example, irritability or nervous overload. The term hypnosuggestational technique (hypnosis plus suggestion) is often used.

By the way, sleep is by no means necessary to go into a trance. Hypnosis without hypnosis (aka gypsy) is also known. With certain actions (quickness of hands, tongue twister, variegation of fabrics - skirts, shawls), "people of the street" deceive human consciousness - and perform manipulations. For example, they lure out money, valuable things. Such skills are passed from one generation to another - in the form of a style of behavior. But despite the centuries-old history, and the variety of manifestations, the phenomenon of hypnosis by science has not yet been fully studied and is in the process of research.

Like any medicine, hypnosis is not for everyone. Great care should be taken to apply the suggestion technique to people with mental disorders (here the doctor must make the decision). There are also individuals who do not lend themselves to hypnosis. It depends on the type of nervous system, the degree of its excitement, on whether he took certain activating substances, as well as on the level of resistance to the actions of the therapist. Although there is an opposite opinion. It is believed that almost everyone is subject to hypnosis. And if he fails to fall into a trance, he just needs to find another hypnotist.

DRUG WITHOUT DRUGS

In modern medicine, hypnotherapy has proven itself well for the treatment of insomnia, stuttering, and other mild neurotic disorders. According to our consultant psychotherapist Oleg Chaban, a hypnosuggestational technique can help a person relax and get rid of chronic fatigue. There is a special method of "sleep-rest" when the hypnotized person is immersed in a trance for a long time (for example, for a day or more). During this period, you can convince him that he is on a sunny beach, his ears are caressed by the sound of the sea surf, he himself is not burdened with anything and enjoys the wonderful atmosphere. After such sessions, he will feel as if he spent three months at a resort.

Through the “point of contact”, the hypnotist gives the person certain information, which he then perceives in everyday life as a guide to action. These are certain words or sentences. For example, in the case of chronic fatigue, these can be the phrases "your nervous sisgema is relaxed", other similar phrases. But there is no "hypnotist's dictionary", all the necessary phrases are selected by the doctor individually. Also, depending on the state of the person, the psychotherapist-hypnotist can erase everything from his memory. what happened during the hypnotic session. But in some cases it retains memories if it deems it necessary for treatment.

In addition to neurotic disorders, hypnosis can be used to treat addictions - for example, from alcohol. But in this case, it is often combined with other methods of psychotherapy. By the way, in not so distant times, whole schools were created to rid people of alcohol addiction using hypnosis. This method was used along with other than the same coding by the Dovzhenko method. Often, hypnosis is also used to get rid of sexual disorders - failures with male power (for example, caused by fear of the fair sex) or frigidity in women. Theoretically (and practically) the introduction of hypnosis can save a person from "bodily" ailments - for example, accompanied by severe pain.

But in the phrase "doctor-psychotherapist" the word "doctor" should come first. That is, first you need to find out the cause of the pain, and then deal with its removal. Hypnosis is a very powerful technique. By applying it. you can reliably overshadow the discomfort. And take a person away from the need to urgently take action if pain signals a serious illness - for example, a cancer. Therefore, in case of diseases of the internal organs (the same stomach ulcer), hypnosis can only be used as an auxiliary means - after a thorough examination and when using other methods of treatment.

REFRIGERANT

But not only ailments are the sphere of control of this therapy. As our consultant psychotherapist Oleg Chaban said, hypnosis can become a serious competitor to anti-wrinkle creams. With its help, you can achieve a person's rejuvenation (by suggesting that he is 20 years old). Of course, there will be no full return to youth. But the eyes will shine, the skin condition will improve, the movements will become more energetic - and he will look much younger.

DIVE RULES

There are many ways of administration in the face. Usually, a person is asked to fix his gaze on a luminous point, the hypnotist can also speak in a monotonous voice, sometimes use light music, a certain set of words. Then the person falls into a state similar to a dream - his head stops hurting (if the reason for going to the doctor was a migraine), he hears sounds farther and farther away and seems to fall somewhere. This is how the hypnotherapy session begins.

There is also a not very pleasant moment. Hypnosis is a striptease of the soul. Under hypnotic influence, you can betray your secret desires, family secrets. However, there is still a limit to resistance: a person with high moral qualities cannot be instilled in illegal things. Therefore, a decent person cannot be forced to commit a crime, even under hypnosis.

There is no clear dive time. There are people who give in very quickly, literally in 10 seconds. And some psychotherapists can enter this state within an hour. The duration of the sessions is also set individually. There are no special rules for preparing for them. But nevertheless, before visiting a doctor, you should not drink tonic drinks, eat tightly - otherwise there may be difficulties with entering a hypnotic state. There are also observations: people are more susceptible to hypnosis in the afternoon, when the nervous system physiologically begins to calm down.

There are people who are more likely to become hypnotists than their contemporaries. Usually these are leaders by nature - self-confident, with a well-set voice, a direct look. In addition, these are the owners of the so-called dominant appearance - tall, dark brown eyes. However, it is not necessary to have the full range of these qualities to learn hypnosis. Almost everyone can master his techniques, if desired. So. experiments were carried out when adults were hypnotized even by a small child.
