A few days ago, a video appeared on the network (see below) with an unusual fish that was found on the ocean coast in Fujian province in southeast China.
An unnamed man walked along the shore and examined the marine life that remained in the wet sand after a strong low tide.
Many locals go after low tide to collect "gifts of the ocean" in the form of crabs and shellfish, which they get for free and effortlessly, just lying under their feet (paranormal-news.ru).
But this time, among the usual ocean animals, the Chinese found a fish that he had never seen here before. The fish is about 20 centimeters long with a large head covered with something like a shell and a flat speckled tail.
But the most unusual thing is her eyes - they are located at the very top of the skull, and not on the sides, like in most fish, and between them there is a hollow that looks like an underdeveloped third eye.
According to the man, such an arrangement of the eyes shows that it is most likely a predator and a large mouth proves this theory. But this guess did not bring people closer to answering the question of what kind of fish it is.

The video was reportedly reviewed by several ichthyologists, but none of them have yet been able to name the species to which this fish belongs. She looks a bit like deep-sea anglers, but they don't have shells. And their eyes are also located differently.
Perhaps this is a new species? Or a mutant? Or maybe something ancient, prehistoric, which only now caught the eye of man?
