Scientists fear that a planet with an orbit passing through the outskirts of the solar system could potentially kill all life on Earth.

Researchers Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown discovered evidence of the planet's existence back in January. The object, in their opinion, is close in size to Uranus and orbits the Sun about 20 times farther than Neptune. It has also been suggested that such a planet could potentially throw "comet storms" on the Earth.

Astrophysicist Daniel Whitmire, a researcher at the University of Arkansas, once said that "persistent evidence of a companion with a Jupiter mass in the Oort cloud," where comets originate, could explain the mass extinction on Earth.

“The expelled comets not only crash into the Earth, they also disintegrate in the inner solar system as they get closer to the sun, reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the Earth,” Whitemeier's theory from the University of Arkansas says.

The only significant difference between Whitemeier's theory and the theory proposed by researchers at the California Institute of Technology is the orbital length of Planet X. Whitemeier proposed an orbit of 27 million years, while Batygin and Brown believe that the planet has a rotation period of 10,000 to 20,000 years.

But this discrepancy does not necessarily exclude the possibility of Planet X influencing comets, making the potential threat to Earth well founded.

The idea of a distant, vast planet bringing destruction to humanity was first proposed by numerous ancient civilizations. In particular, the Sumerians said that close to Planet X, the Earth is dwarf in size, and a wandering cosmic body bombards the solar system with comets every few thousand years.

Most recently, in 1984, astrophysicists suggested that the red dwarf orbits the sun every few million years and "periodically causes huge cometary showers, plunging the Earth into cold and dark, which kills up to 70% of all life."

"Scientists believe that the Sun's companion is a small, dark star known as a red dwarf, probably only 1 / 10th of the Sun's mass and in an elliptical orbit that carries the object into the Oort cloud," reports AP.

"In the cloud, more than 100 billion comets fly in distant orbits, scientists say."

"When it passes through the Oort cloud, the gravity of the dwarf star destroys the orbits of about a billion comets, thus bombarding the inner solar system."

More details in the video. The author also claims that NASA has evidence for Planet X.

NASA is laughing at us, says the author. NASA, the European Space Agency, has twelve different instruments for two decades to measure the solar wind from Planet X. Mostly helium.
