This story began on October 2, 1989, Monday). Early morning, twilight, drizzling rain. On the Tallinn - Pärnu road there is a milk car. Driving is Toomas Wendel, 39 years old. In the cabin there is Laine Pilov, 47 years old, who has not yet recovered from her sleep, a laboratory assistant at a dairy plant (they collect milk from farms). At about 6.30 am (local time) in front of the road sign "Tallinn-Pärnu - 69 km" the car turns to the Haimre manor and … The driver suddenly stops the car. In the middle of the road, 10-15 m from the car, there is a silvery "barrel": height 3-3.5 m, width 2 m, the upper part is rounded. A blue halo is visible around the bottom of the object.
Wendel turned off the engine. After some time, two humanoid creatures of a silvery color separated from the "barrel" (height of about 1.5 m, bulge instead of head, face is not visible, arms are much longer than human ones, movements are smooth). The driver does not remember whether the creatures left the object - he did not notice any windows or doors - or were standing in front of the object. They approached the car and stopped at about 3-5 m. The driver opened the door, but did not go out and watched them. The creatures somehow strangely gestured with their hands, a creaking sound was heard. Then they went to the object and disappeared into it. The blue halo glowed brighter, and the "barrel" took off with great speed. The driver looked out of the car, but noticed only a bright white dot above. He started the engine and they drove on. Only after a few tens of kilometers Toomas and Laine decided to exchange impressions.
During the meeting, it seemed to both of them that they had lost the sense of time (according to them, everything happened within 3-10 minutes) and something fell out of memory. Laine Pilov vaguely remembers the meeting (only some kind of "blue smoke"), but does not remember the creatures at all. Wendel could not explain why he did not go around the object - there was enough space - but stopped. There was no feeling of fear, but both had clothes wet with sweat. L. Pilov’s records of donated milk turned out to be incorrect that day (this was the first time with her), and the next day, the memory was not all right.
Already after 3 days, on October 5, the representatives of the Estonian Commission for AY could not find any traces on the road (the road surface is asphalt). Dowsing confirmed exposure. On October 20, the biolocation operator V. N. Salnikov from Tomsk was also tasked with localizing the site of the alleged landing of the anomalous object (AO). The operator was not informed about the details of the anomalous phenomenon (AE) and the place of observation of the landing, only the direction was given along the branch from the Tallinn-Pärnu road on Haimre (azimuth 120 degrees NE) to the end of the asphalt section (about 140 m). Methods for signal reception and on request were used.
To define the boundaries of the anomalies, a U-shaped steel horizontal frame was used. The work for the reception was carried out according to the method developed by N. N. Sochevanov and A. Ya. Chekunov. When driving from the intersection, the following zones are marked: 1 (width 16 m) - sign "-"; 2 (15 m) - "+" sign; 3 (16 m) sign "-". Then the frame went up vertically, that is, a negative magnetic field gradient is observed in this area (30.6 m wide). The operator interpreted such an indication of the frame as the area of exposure to AO. This site has been detailed with magnetic survey and vertical steel frames upon request. Upon request, the operator receives a signal from the intermediary ("something"), requesting it in binary code: yes or no.
The operator with a vertical frame in his right hand takes turns at each corner of the site and turns in place, keeping the frame as level as possible. At the same time, the operator asks only one unambiguous question: "Where is the landing site?" The frame shows the directions at the intersection of which the center of AO impact is located. It turned out to be displaced 3x3 m from the center of the site. With further movement on the road, three more zones are marked: 5 (24 m) - "+" sign; 6 (16 m) - sign "-"; 7 (17 m) - "+" sign. No change in the transmission of radio waves in the ultrashort and long-wave ranges was observed when the operator with the receiver passed through the boundaries of the zones. The vertical upward position of the frame was stable, and the operator could not detail the landing center and compare the results with the magnetic survey. The gradient of the magnetic field was much lower than the background biolocation in the zone.
Based on numerous indications of the effect of such formations on magnetic devices, it was assumed that a "magnetic trace" is possible due to inductive magnetization. A micromagnetic survey was carried out over a 2x1 m network along five routes along the road. The device is a proton magnetometer MMP-203U, sensor carrying - 0.1 m, accuracy - 4 nT. A plan for the DT is constructed. No striking features were found.
But this story has a continuation. On October 4 at the Khaimre estate at about 7 pm Kh. Smirnov, 35 years old, finished work. Coming out of the barn, he saw shining green-blue circles with a diameter of 5-6 m above the trees of the park. The circles were one above the other. Then they began to approach each other and became even brighter. Suddenly Smirnov heard a dull thud, and a white fireball soared into the sky.

At about 7.15 a young milkmaid M. Tamm finished her work. On the way home in the park, she saw two shining creatures: anthropoid, about 1.5 m high. Despite the darkness, she could clearly see them in front of her. One of the creatures raised a hand and Tamm heard a dull, unusual sound. She does not remember the details of the meeting and returning home. All her clothes were damp. For two nights Tamm barely slept, and she was left with a feeling of fear.
