The incident in Randlesham Forest (UK, Suffolk) that occurred on the evening of December 26, 1980 remains one of the most interesting UFO encounters. Gordon Levitt's home was at the very edge of Rendlesham Forest. That evening he was playing in the yard with his dog when the dog whined and rushed into his kennel. Gordon looked back and saw a strange object flying right at him. The UFO stopped over Gordon's house, hovered for several minutes and flew away at high speed towards Wurdbridge airbase.
Gordon was amazed that the object was moving absolutely silently. In the morning, Gordon noticed a strong change in the behavior of his dog - the animal did not leave the booth for days and died a few days later. The veterinarian could not establish the cause of death and suggested poisoning.

So they, returning from friends, drove through Rendlesham Forest. “Look,” the wife pointed up somewhere. Looking up, the man saw a ball flying over the trees, emitting a white glow. They turned into the forest and stopped. A few minutes later they felt the earth shake, as if something massive had fallen somewhere nearby. Soon a jeep drove along the road at high speed.

Two soldiers walked slowly along the main gate of the base. The day was over, no visits from the authorities were expected, the time until the end of the shift dragged on like thick syrup. "Look," one of them pointed to the sky. A ball flew over the forest, flashing and shimmering with colored lights. The object went down and sank into the forest. A faint glow pulsed above the trees, changing color.
“Call the base, report that a plane has fallen in the forest,” the elder ordered. "Are you sure this is a plane?" - "Not sure. Our business is to report, let the authorities figure it out. " A few minutes later a jeep with two soldiers and a sergeant drove up to the gate. The soldiers threw open the gates and the car drove off in search of the fallen object. It was this jeep that the Webbs saw.

Making their way through the forest, the sergeant and the private went out into the clearing. In its center, they saw an object - a truncated pyramid 3 meters across the lower base and 2 - upper. She did not stand on the ground, but hung at a height of about 1 meter, as if "leaning" on three light columns. A red light hovered and flickered above the pyramid, and two blue ones hung under it. On the surface of the object, the soldiers discerned incomprehensible signs. "Forward," the sergeant ordered quietly. Burrows removed the carbine from his shoulder.
As we approached, each step was taken with increasing difficulty. The soldiers seemed to overcome some kind of growing resistance. When the pyramid was a few meters away, the object rose and, maneuvering between the trees, began to move away. “Shoot?” Burrows twitched the bolt. “Don't,” the sergeant replied. The pyramid moved away several hundred meters and soared upward.

On December 27, the head of the base received a message that a strange object had reappeared in the vicinity of a military airfield. A search party was sent again. This time, the soldiers were late and went to the landing site when the object had already flown away. In the clearing, a black circle with a diameter of 3 m, covered with red powder. The soldiers assembled it carefully.
Colonel Charles Holt wrote a detailed report on the events of December 26 and 27, to which he attached drawings, photographs and a zinc flask sealed with sealing wax containing samples of powder.
The documents went into a folder with the stamp “top secret” (top secret). It was only in 2001 that the UK Department of Defense published materials concerning the incident in Randlesham Forest.
