Many of us admire Pushkin's poem "Keep me, my talisman", but few people know that it is dedicated to this particular ring, which "was given to me on the day of sorrow." It is not known exactly who and on the day of what kind of sadness gave the poet this ring. According to one of the legends, this is a family jewel that was kept in the Pushkin family for many years. They say that the ring once belonged to Ivan the Terrible's grandfather, and then to the Terrible himself. Most likely, then he ended up with Peter I, who gave it to his favorite - Abram Hannibal, Pushkin's great-grandfather.
It is known for sure that Pushkin treated the ring with trepidation and believed in the magical powers of his talisman and in the fact that he was guarding it (by the way, on the day of the fatal duel, the poet forgot to wear the ring).
The poet believed that this ring brings inspiration and helps to create and come up with stories. He directly said about this in "Eugene Onegin": "And the distance of a free novel / I through a magic crystal / I have not clearly distinguished yet."

It is curious that on his deathbed, Pushkin presented his ring to Vladimir Dal, later famous writer and linguist (after Dahl's death, his daughter gave the ring to Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, president of the Academy of Sciences, and then Pushkin's talisman ended up in his museum on Moika).
And here it is very interesting that Dal was distinguished by his great capacity for work and created many voluminous works during his life - the capital "Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language", "Proverbs of the Russian People" and much more.
Didn't Pushkin's magic talisman help him? It can be considered all fiction, but Dahl himself said that the ring gave him strength. In a letter to the writer Vladimir Odoevsky, the author of "The Town in a Snuffbox", he stated: "Pushkin's ring, which he called - I don't know why - a talisman, is now a real talisman for me. By the way, an interesting fact is why it was Odoevsky who should have understood this strange property of the ring. Solomon is not a fictional figure, but a real Jewish king who ruled the united kingdom of Israel from 965-928 BC. Solomon is the character of many legends and mysterious stories. He is credited with various amazing abilities - understanding the language of animals, power over genies, spirits and forces of nature.
In addition to magical abilities, Solomon possessed a number of curious tools. One of them helped him build the main shrine of Judaism - the amazing Jerusalem Temple.
