It contains the remains of a man who was a military leader during the heyday of Ancient Egypt and who managed to serve under two pharaohs, being a stranger in the "kingdom of two houses."
In the necropolis of Saqqara, archaeologists have found a tomb, apparently built during the time of Seti I and Ramses II. According to Ola el-Agizi from the University of Cairo, they have not yet completed the excavation, but a large number of artifacts have already been found that speak of the high social status of the person who is buried in it and his family.
Excavations are being carried out in the southern part of Sakkara, not far from the pyramid of Pharaoh Unas, where the burial grounds of the nobility of the times of the New Kingdom - the peak of Egypt's power - are located. It is here that archaeologists have found a virtually intact tomb of a military leader named Ivrius.
It was possible to establish this from the frescoes and bas-reliefs preserved in the tomb. The inscriptions indicate that Ivrius began his career under Seti I, during which the XVIII dynasty of Ancient Egypt began, and continued it under Ramses II, becoming one of his close advisers and commander-in-chief of the troops.
The tomb contains many records of victories on the eastern borders of Egypt, which the armies won under the command of Ivria. In addition, the son of the military leader Jupp and the grandson of Hatie is mentioned there. Judging by the size of the tomb, all three dignitaries rest in it. The mummies, according to archaeologists, are located in the central part and western corridors of the tomb, which have not yet been excavated.

An interesting fact about Ivria is the story of his birth. He was born outside the "kingdom of two houses." Experts hope that the excavations will help them understand what was the complete history of the military leader, what role he played in expanding the borders of the New Kingdom and their defense against invaders.
