“Code of the Bible” … This is the title of the book by Mikhail Droznin, on the pages of which the author speaks of the existence of a certain code encoded in the Bible.
The code can be deciphered using the method of equally spaced letter sequences. So, for example, if you start counting from any letter, mistaking it for "X", write in a row every n-th letter marked "Y", and do not take into account the spaces, then you end up with a long sequence of letters. If you iterate over the different X and Y values, you can create a large number of sequences. If we imagine that this sequence is wrapped around the cylinder in such a way that the letters do not overlap, and then the cylinder is compacted to the shape of a rectangle, we can end up with letter columns of the same length. In these columns, you can search for specific names, and you can search in different directions. This is exactly what a group of mathematicians from Israel did. According to scientists,they were able to find many matches in the search for dates and names of prominent Israelites in the Book of Genesis. For example, near the letters that make up the name of Yitzhak Rabin, there was the date of his death.
Scientists commented on their research. According to them, as part of an experiment aimed at identifying the possibility of an accidental coincidence, scientists have found that this probability does not exceed 0.000016. Despite the fact that the result was relatively small, it still puzzled many, because in the ancient book there could be no mention of modern people. Therefore, it was decided to conduct additional research. And the result was confirmed.
Thus, the probability of random results corresponded to 16 to one million.
Mikhail Droznin wrote his book based on the study of the Bible using this method, which was called ELS. The author is sure that the decoding of the Bible makes it possible to find out the prophecies and secrets of a secular nature, but at the same time not all of them are related to Jews. According to Droznin, the Bible is the only text where all encoded phrases are located in a statistically significant model, so there is no chance of a coincidence. Using this method, Droznin confirmed the results of research by Israeli mathematicians, according to which the death of Rabin was predicted in the Bible. In addition, the Bible also encrypts the murders of brothers Kennedy and Anwar Sadat.
Droznin's hypothesis was opposed by many scientists, including the former encryptor of the American military department, Harold Hans. He says that it is wrong to argue that the Bible can be used to predict the future. There is no reason for this. Scientists have no mathematical or scientific basis to make such claims. Therefore, we can say that these conclusions are weak from the point of view of logic. Even though the Bible does encode certain historical events, it is wrong to say that each similar form contains information about any historical event. On the contrary, most of these forms will be completely random and can be found on the pages of any text of a sufficiently large volume.
At the same time, according to Droznin, the prediction of Rabin's assassination is proof that the Bible can be used to predict future events. To this Harold Hans replies, a single successful prediction cannot be proof of anything, unless that prediction is judged under harsh, carefully controlled conditions. Therefore, no scientist who respects himself will take such proof for truth.
The work of Mikhail Droznin was also opposed by Dr. Eliyahu Rips, who is one of the authors of the studies that initiated the mania regarding the biblical code. He noted that all of Droznin's attempts to extract some messages from the Bible, as well as the conclusions he made, have no value and are completely frivolous.

And Professor Menachem Cohen, who is one of the most famous Torah scholars at Bar Ilan University, harshly criticized the mathematics. In particular, he noted that there are several versions of Genesis, and the ELS method does not work in them. In addition, the names were chosen inconsistently. And one more thing: many critics have tried to use this code in various books. Droznin tried to argue with Cohen, saying that if information about the death of the Prime Minister is found in the novel "Moby Dick", then he will agree with the professor's arguments. After such a statement, an analysis of this novel was carried out, and in it were found references to the deaths of Indira Gandhi, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and Princess Diana. In addition, a combination of words such as "code" and "fake" have been encountered around 60 times. But this can no longer be considered an accident …
However, such an amount of criticism did not stop Droznin, and he wrote a second book on the topic of the biblical code called "Biblical Code II - the countdown has begun."
In his new work, the author claims that the Old Testament encoded warnings about the Third World War, the victims of which will be all of humanity. It is noteworthy that not ordinary people became interested in the book, but the military from Israel, America and other states.
Droznin himself confirmed the interest of the American military in his work. He wrote an article published in the media on November 1, 2003, in which he spoke about his meeting with the leadership of the American military intelligence, who were interested in whether it is possible to believe in the biblical code.
It is important to note that the negotiations took place at a time when America was preparing to invade Iraqi territory under high security. At first glance, it is strange that in such a difficult period the military is busy with such frivolous matters. After all, before that, Droznin had repeatedly tried to reach out to the American government, but for 5 years after the release of the first work, no one heard him.
Researchers who studied the biblical code, in particular, the same Rips and Witzum, noted that during the research it was indeed confirmed that the Scriptures contain predictions about events that occurred many centuries after it was written.
In particular, they argue that the first important message they managed to find was about the outbreak of the Gulf War. The scientist made this discovery a few weeks before the military operation began there in 1991. In addition to this message, scientists found words such as "landing on the moon" and "Apollo 11", as well as "Hitler" and "Nazi" and "Kennedy's death" and the words "Dallas", "President", which were in close proximity to each other.
According to Droznin, one of the most striking predictions that confirm the existence of the biblical code is the mention of September 11, 2001, the day of terrorist attacks in the United States. Rips was able to locate the words "Twin Towers" and "airplane" nearby, they intersected with the expression "it led to the fall."
Later, other links were discovered, in particular, "terrorist Atta", "Bin Laden's crime" and "about 3 thousand people died that day." We will remind, initially it was about 6 thousand victims, but later the true number of victims became known - about three thousand.
But let us return to why the American military showed such great interest in Droznin's work. As it turned out, the NSA ransomware, after examining the text of the Bible, came to the conclusion that the Bible code does exist.
In addition, Droznin told the American military in 2003 that a global nuclear catastrophe would soon begin in the East, as well as that Hussein would fall in 2003, and also indicated the geographical point where Osama bin Laden was hiding. He also named the places of the most likely targets for terrorists - Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and New York. In Tel Aviv, the US military did not find any terrorist base, although they searched for a long time.
From the unfulfilled: Droznin said that in 2004 a terrorist attack would take place in New York, after which the city would be gone. And besides, the end of the world will come soon … Besides these, there are other inaccuracies that have allowed some scientists not to believe neither the first nor the second books of Droznin. Thus, in particular, Michael S. Heizer, a scientist from America, opposed Droznin's theory, stating that the Torah, which he used, was not the oldest option. It is possible that truly ancient texts could contain some kind of code, but all these ancient texts have been lost at the present time. The scribes made many mistakes, and sometimes deliberately made changes to the texts. Moreover, Heizer analyzed in detail the text in which Droznin allegedly discovered the biblical code and established that there are more than two hundred letter differences in the code,about 60 missing letters, as well as over 132 text inaccuracies. Therefore, Heizer is sure, you can't talk about any code.
Thus, it is quite obvious that Droznin used the Bible in order to make a name for himself, and at the same time earn money, and, moreover, a lot of money, because his books were perceived as real sensations. So it is quite possible that Droznin will write a new book, and perhaps more than one, in pursuit of easy money.
