Video: Buried Alive | The Case of Michael Carruth 2024, May
Anonim

In Donetsk, friends once again "buried" a local resident Valery Lavrinenko. The fact is that a 60-year-old man wants to prove that a person buried alive is able to get out of the ground on his own, and has been tempting fate for several years in a row. However, so far all attempts end in failure.

This time, the "dead man" was again put in a coffin, the boards were hammered with nails and the "domina" was lowered into a hole 1 meter 90 centimeters deep. Then the volunteers covered the grave with earth and even rammed it, after which they gave the extreme sportsman a command to start getting out. Communication with the "other world" was maintained through a video camera, which was connected to a computer.

Valery, in the past - a professional magician and record holder for holding his breath, known in the USSR, Japan and America, excavated on his own for only 20 minutes. Then he realized that he couldn't cope on his own and asked for help. After that, the live broadcast with the "deceased" was interrupted. Soon, the "diggers" stumbled upon Lavrinenko's lifeless hand. Apparently, he lost consciousness.

In total, the man spent about two hours underground. Recovering and rising from the grave, he spat out clay from his mouth, apologized for the failure to the numerous admirers who believed in his superhuman abilities and … promised to try again soon!

According to Lavrinenko, in the first minutes of being underground, the temperature inside the coffin rose to 35 degrees and, perhaps, that is why the air ran out faster than the author of the idea expected.

Fortunately, this time nothing happened. But luck is not unlimited! And in general, have readers ever thought about how long a person can live if he was accidentally (or intentionally) buried alive?

For a normal, healthy person, experts say, it will take 10 minutes to an hour, or 6 to 36 hours, before he remains prematurely in the grave. And while scientists are still debating the timing, one thing remains clear - it won't last long.

Promotional video:

Basically, it all comes down to the volume of air that the coffin contains: the slender a person is, the longer he can live in a closed coffin simply because there is more room for air. The volume of a "normal" coffin (213x71x58 cm) is about 886 liters, and the average volume of a human body is 66 liters. One fifth of the air that occupies the "useful volume" is oxygen - 164 liters. For a healthy adult to breathe, 0.5 liters of oxygen per minute is enough, that is, all of it in the coffin will be consumed in about 5.5 hours.

"It is unlikely that something buried alive can do something," says University of Chicago professor Alan Leff. "If you are in a grave, you will most likely never get out of there."

After all, even if the prisoner manages to get out of the coffin, before the air supplies run out, he will still need to overcome about two meters of soil, which separate him from the surface of the earth.

"Soil is a very dense and heavy substance, so a person will feel like they have been rolled into asphalt," says Ethan Green, director of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.

According to Green, even if a person is able to move, the earth will enter the nostrils and mouth, leading to a blockage of the airways and, as a result, suffocation. In addition, you need to get out of the grave as soon as possible, otherwise carbon dioxide, which will inevitably accumulate in the coffin, will cause drowsiness, and then coma.

“When the oxygen runs out, you will feel suffocated, but at least before death you will fall into unconsciousness, so the last minutes are unlikely to be painful,” sums up Professor Leff.

HOW AND WHERE IS BETTER TO Bury

And nevertheless, those who wish to voluntarily find themselves buried underground for some reason are not transferred. Not so long ago, a local resident was buried alive at a summer cottage in the vicinity of Blagoveshchensk. As a friend of the man, who helped to implement the ridiculous idea, says, the deceased persuaded him for a long time to participate in the experiment and finally persuaded him.

At the bottom of the hole, friends put a film, then a wooden box that looked like a cabinet. To breathe, two plastic tubes were brought out. At about nine o'clock in the evening, the experimenter wrote a note in which he indicated that he was sinking into the ground of his own free will, took a blanket, water and a cell phone with him, lay down in an impromptu coffin and … asked to bury it.

A friend thoroughly dug a hole and calmly went home, and in the morning, without waiting for the promised call, he returned, dug up the "grave" and found that his friend showed no signs of life. According to forensic experts, the death of the experimenter came from the fact that the outlet pipes were clogged with water, as it rained heavily at night.

In the last hours of his life, the buried alive tried to get out. The blanket was badly trampled and crumpled in the area of the legs, and in his hand he convulsively clutched a cell phone.

Friends talk about the deceased, that just before his death experience, he found a forum on the Internet where technologies were described, how and where it is better to bury himself in order, according to legend, to defeat all his fears, cleanse his soul and body from filth, and at the same time gain eternal immortality !

A young resident of the Vologda region dreamed about the same. He and his friend were also interested in magic rituals dedicated to the resurrection of the dead. And then one day in the forest of the Velikoustyug region, he decided to conduct an ancient ritual, which consisted of being completely buried in the ground.

After convincing a friend of the absolute safety of his plan (since the buried man was going to breathe with the help of a corrugated hose, one end of which was supposed to be left sticking out of the ground), he climbed into a hole he had dug in advance and asked to bury it.

A friend covered his comrade with earth with his head, and when he returned an hour and a half later and dug a hole, he found him dead. As determined by experts, the cause of death was decompression asphyxia from compression of the organs of the neck, chest and abdomen with the ground.

THE CHINESE SURVIVED THANKS TO MEDITATION

Fortunately, as you know, there are exceptions to any rule. In November 2013, a woman who came early in the morning to a cemetery located in the vicinity of the Brazilian city of São Paulo to visit the graves of her relatives, heard strange sounds a few meters away from her, which seemed to be heard from under the freshly filled earth.

The shocked Brazilian woman, frightened by the living dead, first ran away screaming, but later returned and turned to the cemetery staff for help. Those, naturally, did not believe in zombies and vampires and, suggesting that another case of “resurrection” of an allegedly deceased person had occurred in their practice, they called the police.

A fresh grave was urgently opened, and at the bottom of it was found a "dead man" who, emitting weak moans, tried to move his arms and legs, but he did not succeed.

The man was taken to hospital, where doctors provided him with the necessary assistance. Local media report that the life of the unfortunate man who was buried alive is now out of danger, although he will have long treatment and recovery.

As it soon became clear, the victim was an employee of the mayor's office of the city of São Paulo. At night he was severely beaten by unknown attackers. When the man lost consciousness, the criminals, apparently deciding that he was dead, took him to the cemetery, threw him into an empty grave and covered him with earth. When a few hours later (!) The poor fellow regained consciousness, he began to moan, and it was these sounds that attracted the attention of the woman, thanks to whom he was saved! According to doctors, this case is quite unique, and it is not yet clear why several cubes of earth, pressing on the chest of a man for a whole night, did not kill him immediately …

Somewhat earlier, 52-year-old Chinese builder Wang Jian Xin, who worked on a construction site in the city of Ningbo, was fantastically lucky. Having descended into a trench three meters deep behind the fallen tool, he was about to climb back when suddenly an earthen wall collapsed on him!

Jian Xin found himself under a multi-meter layer of soil, but thanks to the helmet, the earth around the man's head formed a small "pocket" in which some air accumulated - for a couple of deep breaths.

However, Wang lasted two full hours. According to him, he was able to survive thanks to a special breathing technique during meditation.

“I knew that there would not be enough air for a long time,” the builder said after his miraculous rescue, “so I forced myself to relax and concentrate on breathing through meditation. It was very quiet and cool underground. And I easily managed to focus my attention and achieve inner peace, although I perfectly understood that I was in the face of death. Later it became very hot and stuffy, and then I heard the sounds of voices, the noise of the earth being torn apart, and suddenly I saw a white light again. These were the longest two hours of my life!"

The doctors who examined Jian Xin after being rescued from the pit said that the Chinese man miraculously survived - an ordinary person would have held out in such conditions for no more than five minutes …
