Probably, every woman, deep in her soul, dreams of being forever young. And it looks like the American researcher Elizabeth Parrish managed to fulfill the dream of millions.

44-year-old mother of two children decided to participate in an experiment that can turn the biological clock back.

For the first time in the history of mankind, scientists and doctors decided to make a serious experiment and change the biological clock of a woman. The test subject was a 44-year-old scientist, mother of two children, Elizabeth Parrish, who was injected with genetic material into a vein. The substance must penetrate into every cell and initiate changes that will not only stop aging, but also start a rejuvenating process.

The experiment is being conducted by BioViva, a scientific medical company, in which Elizabeth holds a leading position. Parrish says that he is not afraid of results that can lead to a sad outcome. “If something terrible happens, I will still be sure that I made the right step. If one step can change the world, and this step will cost life, it must be taken, Elizabeth confessed to Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Scientists have decided to take on two genes out of a thousand that are well studied. The first is the gene myostatin inhibitor, a protein that suppresses muscle growth and thus inhibits the production of myostatin, thereby stimulating muscle growth and stopping muscle dystrophy. The second part of the process is to stimulate the production of telomerase, an enzyme that is responsible for restoring the length of telomeres, that is, the ends of chromosomes that ensure the integrity and stability of our DNA. Experiments have shown that the stimulation of the telomerase gene leads to the rejuvenation of cells in all tissues of the body. Elizabeth assures that the goal of the study is not only the opportunity to be beautiful and young, but also the desire to give people a healthy life.

“I am sure this is the most important step to take today. Many people don't think, but aging is now the number one killer in most countries. Cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease and other life-threatening diseases begin as the body ages and is unable to correct the disorder. At the same time, laboratory experiments on animals unambiguously confirm: if you stop aging, rejuvenate the body, you can save yourself from dangerous diseases and prolong your healthy life. And it's real.

We can no longer let age-related diseases kill us. The elderly population around the world is growing, and these are people who can potentially be healthy, strong and able to take care of themselves, rather than end their days in wheelchairs in nursing homes,”explains the purpose of the study Elizabeth.

After a month of research, Elizabeth noticed small changes in her condition: the woman noted that it is much easier for her to wake up in the morning, and she can easily do without coffee.

The public has begun to show interest in the study, but it will take at least five more years if the experiment is successful to bring such a procedure to the masses. Gene therapy, as part of the Elizabeth Parrish experiment, cost the company $ 1.5 million, and it is estimated that such a "treatment" will cost people no less than $ 40,000.

A large study and summing up the first biological results will be carried out three months after the beginning of the experiment. Elizabeth is optimistic and believes that in 15 years, national governments could agree to make such therapy free to citizens.
