The world constantly presents a person with more and more surprises: we are going into space, not yet really exploring our planet. The ocean stands apart, which in general can be considered terra incognita. For example, just last month, scientists discovered a previously unknown subspecies of shark - so strange that researchers called it a ninja shark. The discovery, published in the latest issue of the Ocean Science Foundation, prompted us to make a material about the most unusual and frightening sharks, which we would not recommend anyone to meet.
Megalodon
Okay, this shark existed 2.6 million years ago - but we could not not include the largest representative of the species in our selection. The megalodon reached 30 meters in length: in this picture (scientists created it thanks to the found remains), the monster hunts for two whales at once. Several people could fit freely in the jaws of the megalodon.
Shark angel
It is not easy to see the angel shark, because it spends almost all its life in ambush, hiding at the bottom. For humans, this subspecies is not dangerous, although there were cases when a shark attacked a diver who accidentally stepped on it.

Pelagic largemouth shark
Only about fifty of these strange sharks have survived on the entire planet. The specimen from the picture was caught in the Philippines: the fishermen themselves brought the catch to the oceanographers. The bigmouth shark feeds only on plankton and moves at a speed of 2 km / h - no wonder there are so few of them left.
Frilled Shark
The shark owes its name to the unusual structure of the gills that border its head like a medieval cloak. Fortunately, this creature can only be found at very great depths, otherwise it would become a nightmare for any diver. In the mouth of a shark, researchers have found more than three hundred renewable teeth: just imagine this two-meter monster, who decided to splash in shallow water.
Goblin shark
The ugliest shark on the list. Three meters long, sharp and bent like fishhooks teeth - into whom, I wonder, was this creature planning to evolve?
Carpet shark
The carpet shark got its name from the aborigines of New Zealand: in one of the dialects Wobbegong means "shaggy beard". This peaceful, but extremely ugly creature lives at the bottom, feeding on small fish and carrion. Australians, on the other hand, find the carpet shark a great beer snack.
Spear shark
In fact, this is just one of the species of the common gray shark. For a little detail: the spear-toothed shark is able to hunt in both salt and fresh water. Well, at least I haven't learned to breathe air.
Horned shark
If you've ever thought about the possibility of adopting a shark as a pet, this is the chance. The horned shark spends its life at the very bottom of the ocean, lazily and unhurriedly eating up molluscs. Throughout the day, the shark sleeps, going out to "hunt" only in the middle of the night. Never swims more than 12 kilometers from home: the perfect pet!
Gigantic shark
12 meters in length could give the giant shark the title of the most dangerous predator in the entire World Ocean - however, God did not give horns to the horny cow. The giant shark is forced to support its huge body with a diet of plankton, filtering it out of the water like a whale.
Shark ninja
It's rather strange that we only learned about the existence of such a strange subspecies in 2015. The ninja shark is phosphorescent, its dark (like your ex's heart) skin does not reflect light. These properties help the underwater killer to disorient prey and hide from large predators.
