Information about a blue flash near Yekaterinburg appeared on social networks after the weekend: several people said at once that they saw a flash of blue-blue color at about 17:00 in approximately the same place - on the road to Polevskoy. After the story with a fiery flash near Rezh, a new incomprehensible phenomenon, of course, excited everyone.
“Something strange is happening here! On November 29, I personally saw the same flash only in blue-blue color! Hours so at 17: 00-18: 00 in the Kurganovo area on the road to Polevskoy, Elena Yamina wrote on Facebook.
A reader of the Ekaterinburg site E1. RU sent to the editor a video of the recorder, which captured this very flash. The time is approximately the same as that indicated by Elena: about 17 hours.
- I was driving from Yekaterinburg, drove through a gas station after leaving the city, after just 1-2 km I saw a flash - from the side of the Mountain Shield, - said Nikita Shemenev.
What it was is completely incomprehensible. For now, one thing can be said for sure: it was not a natural phenomenon. This was stated by the chief forecaster of the Hydrometeorological Center Galina Sheporenko.
“There were no prerequisites for any meteorological phenomena (say, for a thunderstorm) that day,” explained Galina Sheporenko. - It is quite obvious that the light source is on the ground, and it does not change its location with repeated flashes (that is, it is stationary). The cone of light from the source extends upward and spreads out into a large spot on the lower edge of the clouds, the height of which at that time was about 800 meters (therefore, clouds illuminated by ground light were visible far enough away).
One of the readers of E1. RU two years ago filmed a similar flash on the DVR of his car.
