There is a place in the Moscow region that constantly attracts both tourists and researchers of everything unusual. It is called "Chapel".
This strange place is located in the Pavlo-Posad district of the Moscow region. It got its name "Chapel", first of all, because of the village, which is 11 kilometers away.
The village is quite a habitable place, although in 2010 only 13 people were counted there. The village has been known since the end of the 18th century - at that time 167 people lived in it and there were 26 houses. In the 100 years that have passed before the next census, practically nothing has changed - 27 houses and 158 residents.
And the center of the anomalous zone of the zone is an old dilapidated chapel, built around the 17th century. At first it was made of wood, then the stone was rebuilt. During the years of Soviet power, the building was abandoned and gradually destroyed.
An abnormal or geopathogenic zone is a local area of the terrain, within which phenomena occur that are difficult or not at all amenable to explanation within the framework of modern scientific theories. All these are modern scientific names, while our ancestors called such places "damned", "damn" or "disastrous".
It is believed that a person cannot stay for a long time in such places. Yes, and accompanies the one who got there, as a rule, a feeling of unaccountable fear or strong anxiety. One of the theories explains this by infrasonic vibrations over deep fractures of the earth's crust, which in themselves can cause panic and deterioration of health up to hallucinations, and even more so in a person "prepared" by numerous terrible stories.
When exactly in the "Chapel" began to occur anomalies, no one will say. Strangely enough, there are no known legends associated with this place, except for one: they say that the chapel stands on the site of an ancient pagan temple. At the base of the masonry, you can see unusual white stones - exactly the same ones are found in the meadow nearby. The line of the forest and the trees themselves around this place are bizarrely curving, numerous witnesses mention the grass allegedly crushed by someone, laid in concentric circles.
Now about the anomalies taking place here. First, of course. these are reports of numerous UFOs. A woman from a nearby village told how she saw a flying triangle here.

The incident, she said, took place in late autumn, already after dark. She heard a strange hum over the forest and saw an unusual glow. At first, the pensioner decided that it was a helicopter approaching. But the object that appeared from behind the trees was a triangular shape with dots glowing at the corners. The object hovered for a while, and then rose into the sky and disappeared. The woman's neighbors also witnessed the appearance of UFOs.
It must be said that it is the reports of passing lights, with a very complex trajectory and hardly imaginable aerodynamics, that prevail here. Locals constantly see glowing crosses, balls and groups of 3 or more objects in the sky above their village.
Oddities occur in the chapel itself. They talk about strange sounds near buildings, some dark silhouettes, shadows and other anomalies. But most often, near the chapel, people experience an unprecedented, animal horror, which makes them literally run away from a strange place.
Russian and foreign ufologists are actively interested in the abandoned chapel. It's no joke, about 30 groups of researchers with a total number of more than 250 people visited it. The most famous is, of course, the Kosmopoisk association. The researchers noted the unusual energy of the place and confirmed a number of anomalous occurrences.
