I love to reflect on social issues and especially about the organization of settlements outside the city.
And in conversations from people adhering to left-wing views, I regularly hear statements in the style:
I have pondered this question sincerely. And I realized that probably nothing. At least in the current civilization. And moreover, I realized that the question is wrong in itself. And the correct question is “why ordinary people should live well”?
Who are ordinary people?
Let's start with who the common people are. We all know who poor people or polite people are. Who are the simple ones? The same poor, but not polite or what?
Now, if you interview people, you can roughly understand that a simple person is usually understood as a person who has no merit, connections, talents, profession, education and money. Because if any of this exists, then the person is not quite simple already.
A retired milkmaid grandmother is a labor veteran, or a high-class locksmith grandfather - these are not ordinary people - they are quite qualified workers. And the foreman who goes through the engine with his eyes closed is not an ordinary person, he is a professional with good qualifications.

But an ordinary person is such a lumpen. I have not studied anything in my life, I can’t do anything, I haven’t earned anything, and I didn’t do anything special. Because if you do something for at least a few years, qualifications are inevitably acquired. If not really an idiot, of course.
Well, we all see these around us, unfortunately. Seniority usually consists of an army, a prison, casual part-time jobs at a construction site, and God forbid, he got married and had children. And such a simple person hangs on the neck of his wife and parents. Periodically, he also drinks or is a drug addict. A wonderful organism. How can we benefit him even more?
And, I ask you, dear left-wing comrades … Why should such characters have to live well? Our basic law of nature is still evolution, which has not been canceled. And it seems to be about natural selection and about the fact that in the competitive struggle, individuals of each species seek to adapt to life. That is, to become better, more adaptable and to learn something useful. Even parasites in biology are not at all a socially offensive word, but quite successful organisms.
So who, and why, needs ordinary lumpen people to live well?
Living well is some kind of reward for doing something in life. Useful desirable. It is not always useful, but you have to do something in any way. And if a person lives his whole life as a passive ballast, has not learned anything, cannot do anything, then why should he be rewarded for such a life with such fear?
So it turns out that no one actually needs them to live well. And since they themselves cannot do anything for themselves and no one is required to benefit them, they will never live well and will never.
Nobody needs these "ordinary people" … Except for those who care about their vote in the elections. Well, he will give them food so that the electorate reaches the ballot box.
So yes. Of course, politicians need them … But not so much to make their life good. And if they begin to live too well, they swell and will not reach the elections …
