The idea of this hypothesis came to me as part of my interest in the phenomena of the Virgin Mary. In 1991, my brother Peter and I published the book Heavenly Signs, in which we actively consider this kind of phenomenon and in which we - at least I would like to hope so - were able to prove that the appearance of the Virgin Mary is not something other than a manifestation of an alien mind, adapted to the consciousness and perception of human contactees.

If we compare the frequent cases of UFO sightings with the mentioned phenomena of the Virgin Mary, it is not difficult to notice the closeness that distinguishes both of these types of phenomena. The variety of such coincidences cannot be considered accidental. It also does not fit into the framework provided by the laws of statistics and random coincidences according to the theory of probability, and we are forced to try to understand and analyze what lies behind both similar phenomena - a religious background where it is needed.

In other words, we are faced with disguise, adaptation to specific sociocultural and social conditions. Direct appeal to fantasy and human imaginations. The desire to clothe something in the very clothes in which we ourselves would like to see it. In other words, here we have nothing more than an expressed phenomenon of mimicry.

Mimicry: optimal adaptation and camouflage

What, in fact, is usually understood by the word "mimicry"? It is borrowed from biology and, according to the generally accepted interpretation, means the protective property of some species of animals to change the color or appearance of the body, imitating the appearance of other animals, inedible or able to fend for themselves.

Yes, that's the way it is - adaptation, adaptation. This alien alien intelligence adapts to us in a whole range of parameters: to our perception, our ideas, our fantasies, fears and expectations. And, perhaps, in no other aspect this complex of adaptive means is realized so clearly as in the phenomenon of the phenomena of the Virgin Mary.

In principle, we behave in much the same way (of course, if considerations of profit do not interfere with the matter), having discovered a new tribe somewhere in the South Seas or in Africa. Our ethnologists go to this region, not armed with helicopters or other miracles of technology of the 20th century, just as people representing the real level of development of the indigenous society, observing their laws and customs in order to be accepted into their society.

Such research tactics are now commonly referred to as “observer-complicit”. Perhaps such actions are just a step on the way to a more highly developed mimicry, which aliens actively use in relation to us, humans.

What, in fact, does my hypothesis of mimicry boil down to? Here's the main takeaway:

Representatives of the alien intelligence, able to visit our Earth, had such high technical and technological ("magic") standards that they were able to adapt their intellectual level to the level of people who lived at different times and belonged to different cultures.

Along with this, they could leave to future generations of people capable of carrying out space flight (in this case, to us, because we have just begun to discover their traces and prepare for new contacts), evidence of their existence, their arrivals to our planet and their highest capabilities.

Examples of this kind, borrowed from cultural continua determined by the specificity of place and time, are truly countless. Here are some examples:

• the phenomena of God described in the Bible, in which, on the one hand, one can see traces of an incredibly high level of technology [spaceships and the temple of Ezekiel (in South America), a machine for the production of manna], and on the other, their content was supposed to affect ancient Jews as divine revelation;

• the phenomena of gods among the Hindus and other peoples of India, who are also adapted to the perception of the representatives of this cultural society and its religious and mystical views and, along with this, today allow quite specific technical interpretations (vimana, military technologies, etc.);

• the celestial phenomena observed in the Middle Ages, which each time corresponded to the outlook of the people of that time ("flying shields", "fairies", "dwarfs", etc.); today, they tend to see parallels with ancient and modern contacts;

• the phenomenon of balloons, often observed at the end of the 19th century, when people observed objects that, on the one hand, corresponded to the ideas of a person of that time, and on the other, went far beyond the framework of specific technical and technological standards;

• the apparitions of the Virgin Mary from the distant past to the present day, which in some cases led to cases of hysteria, when the masses of people adhering to the Catholic faith allowed them to interpret the visions that were revealed to them or to manipulate THEM;

• finally, the UFO phenomenon, which is so widespread today: UFOs and the contacts and abductions associated with them are the best match for our ideas about alien ships, their crews and the way they operate. In this regard, it should be emphasized that they did not reflect anything other than the reflection inherent in people at the end of the 20th century, and ideas about advanced technologies. Thus, these phenomena and objects are a synthesis between real-life alien forces and the flight of our own imaginations.

The hypothesis of mimicry ties together arguments and facts that were previously rejected by "psychologically" oriented ufologists with conventional hypotheses about material objects.

As a result of such views, UFOs, like the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, and visions of balloons at the end of the 19th century, and flying shields of the Middle Ages and the "gods" and "apparitions of the gods" in hoary antiquity, appeared to be nothing more than mental projections of an alien mind, adapted to our ideas of that time, - projections that are realized according to the laws of mimicry in our earthly plane and at the same time give us information about the structures behind them.

In other words, we are dealing with such a highly complex, carefully planned and focused on us, people of the beginning of the era of space flight, a strategy that the famous researcher Erich von Däniken aptly described many years ago with a magnificent title - "strategy of the gods."

The world we see around is not the real world?

Today, there are very, very interesting ideas that see in the world, which we consider quite real, only a shadow of true reality. Physicist David Bohm and biologist Karl Pribram not so long ago came up with the idea of a "holographic Universe", which formed the basis of a model of the universe, classically clear in its formulations.

According to her, our brain, as Bohm and Pribram says, “on the paths of mathematical thinking, creates objective reality by interpreting various frequencies, which are actually projections from other dimensions, creates orderliness of being extending beyond space and time. The brain is a hologram enveloped in a holographic universe."

Today everyone knows what a hologram is. This is an imaginary three-dimensional image of objects. The photographed object, shot with a special camera and laser technology, is in a plane on which, with the exception of a few circular frames, there is nothing.

But as soon as a beam from a light source falls on a flat image at a certain angle, the object imprinted on the hologram leaves the plane. It becomes three-dimensional and materially tangible. However, the latter is nothing more than an illusion, for as soon as we reach out and try to take the object depicted on the hologram, our fingers will touch the void.

According to Pribram and Bohm, our universe is structured in much the same way. Our brain, or, better to say, our consciousness, is a kind of ray of light in which we guess the illusory reality of the universe, which consists of an infinite number of tiny frequencies that are not perceived by our consciousness.

We do not perceive this "photographic plate" and the structures of true reality imprinted on it. We are simply not able to perceive it, because our brain is not able to do it. This is not just some kind of illusion that surrounds us and is ready to crumble at any moment. It is enclosed in a kind of limitless, incredibly complex and intertwining Something that cannot be compared with anything that is available to our minds.

How - let’s, however, return to our topic - will behave “advanced” alien intelligence in the face of such a situation? What capabilities does he have and how will he act in our world, in our reality? Suppose he, the mind, has not only knowledge of the internal relationships between different planes of reality, but also knows the means and ways through which it is possible to influence the deep structures of reality invisible to us, people.

Whitley Striber, an American writer who, like many of his peers, spent his childhood in the poorest city blocks, once wrote: “If aliens came to us, we would immediately think that they are aliens, strangers in the most literal sense of the word. more alien than anything we can imagine."

This problem is as urgent as possible for us. We cannot even imagine what the "advanced" otherworldly mind was able to achieve, ahead of us in development for many hundreds of thousands or even millions of years, how it develops and what motivations it is guided by. Meanwhile, many of us have never thought about the fact that such a mind really exists.

It's like virtual simulation in cyberspace

It is customary to define the concept of "cyberspace" as an artificially created space, the whole Universe, which exists thanks to powerful computer programs. Such cyberspace and virtual reality have the advantage that they can not only be observed from the outside, from the outside, but also "enter" them.

Wearing special glasses that recreate the effect of three-dimensional space, gauge gloves or even a whole "spacesuit", the cybernaut can freely move in this Universe at his own discretion. He experiences in her a different reality, completely alien to reality. It is hard to imagine what we can achieve with further improvement of virtual reality, even if its first steps look more than impressive.

I am convinced that in a matter of decades, glasses and spacesuits will certainly turn into "old pieces of iron", and the brain will be able to directly "communicate" with a computer, and the impression that a cybernaut is in a different dimension will be absolutely reliable. But what is “true reality”? Is it just an illusion?

American mathematician and Indologist Richard Thompson compares the worldview of the ancient Hindus with the impression that virtual reality produces today. The ability of the gods described in various Vedic texts to create the Universe, the idea of "command posts" scattered in the Universe - all this is basically identical to the concept of a single virtual reality.

Neither Thompson nor I have ever claimed that our world exists within the framework of some colossal computer. As for cyberspace, we consider it a very apt analogy of how our world works and is structured. All that we know about him is just a surface - a shiny, sparkling, mirror-like surface that does not allow our gaze7 to penetrate deep into it.

American astrophysicist Timothy Ferris, in his new book, expresses the idea of whether representatives of alien intelligence have established an enormous network of interconnected and interconnected space probes throughout our galaxy.

If we assume that many millions of years ago, intelligent beings really took care of installing such probes in any accessible solar system that would collect all the necessary information and send it to their home planet, then the entire Universe today is permeated with a web of such probes that provide contact between intelligent beings.

These probes, which I would call Ferris probes for the sake of simplicity, are, of course, capable of taking not only panoramic images and measurements in the atmosphere of the observed planet, but of obtaining a comprehensive picture of the parameters. In this case, on the home planet (or on the celestial body, which these intelligent beings consider their homeland), this data is processed and entered into an extensive model of cyberspace.

Perhaps there, these creatures have a very interesting opportunity: they can - if such a Ferris probe, for example, is already operating in our solar system - simply contribute to an artificial model of Earth's cyberspace. So, completely safe and without risking anything.

They can, for example, walk through the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin or go on an expedition to climb Mount Everest. They can also visit all the hot spots of the Earth or listen to Mass in St. Peter's Square in Rome. And all this - sitting in his chair (or whatever replaces it there).

The next stage in the development of such probes is their use as a transmission device aimed not at the beings themselves, but at their consciousness. This can create opportunities for them to safely descend from their world to our earthly one, without any danger to appear in the "aspect of cyberspace" and try to understand what we, in fact, call our reality.

Physicist Michael Sward believes this scenario is not only quite possible, but also closely related to the UFO phenomenon. According to his views, the role of microminiature Ferris probes is performed by implants implanted in some contactees living among us under the control of aliens, even if the true homeland of aliens is many light years from their home galaxy.

We are constantly being watched

Our brains, trained by four and a half billion years of evolution, are generally able to perceive only individual facet points of reality. Therefore, the tunnel of reality, in which each of us lives, leaves a couple of meters for review. And everything that is beyond these two meters remains unknown and inaccessible to us.

As a rule, this does not arouse any interest in us. However, nothing is more uncertainty than the certainty in which we are. And a collision with the "impossible" can fall on us much faster than this moment has time to end.

There is something that is near us. This is something that has a powerful effect on us. It manifests itself where we do not expect. It affects us both in the forests and on deserted country roads, in the clouds and in the quiet rooms of our own homes. The otherworldly mind behind Him, apparently, is sharply ahead of us, perhaps - by many millions of years.

He probably learned to shape reality a long time ago. Or, more precisely, unlike us, he has known for a long time that no reality actually exists. Reality is just a product and a product of our brain. Anyone who has penetrated the secret of this state of affairs is able to freely manipulate what we call reality. Manipulate when and how he pleases.

Some of the people “abducted” by aliens, having mustered the courage and strength to ask a question about the meaning of such actions in the face of their “abduction”, for the most part receive a stereotypical answer: “This is our right!”.

Your right? But why, for what reason? Who gave them such a right?

In another case, one of the "abducted" told about an even more frightened reaction of the creatures to the words she threw in their faces: "You are werewolves!"

Yes, yes, very precisely: werewolves. They are actually not at all what they seem to us. Their ability to mimicry allows them to reliably disguise their essence. But who or what is behind the exterior?

Whatever questions we asked, whatever explanations we offered, they all invariably turned out to be false. This scenario itself is a priori arranged so that the deeper we try to penetrate into it, the more complex and confusing it becomes. One thing is clear: somewhere there is something and somewhere something is happening. This happened in the distant past and is happening here and now, it is happening among us.
