The Vecherka correspondent visited the Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center, whose engineers invented an unusual sponge for regenerating damaged tissues.

At the Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center, work on projects for the future is in full swing. Many PhDs are barely 25 years old. The results are impressive. When they promise to show some special "framework for tissue regeneration", the buzzword "exoskeleton" comes to mind.

Scientists just brush it off, because the sample resembles a tiny shortbread cookie.

- With him, no wounds are terrible, - proudly declares Roman Morozov, head of the medical device development department. - Now, after all, doctors use only European sponges for operations, and they are much less effective.

The multi-layer design of the wound swab resembles a napoleon cake. Each of the layers is unique and consists of collagen, chitosan, and albumin. In addition to the fact that the blood stops flowing, the wound heals faster.

When developing, it was necessary to take into account a number of nuances. For example, the fact that blood has a very sticky structure.
