On August 28, 1963, seven-year-old Jose Marcos Gomez Vidal went to play with his friends, Fernando and Ronaldo Gualberto. Their home was in the Sagrada Familia, a poor neighborhood in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte.
After dinner at about 7 pm, the boys went out into the yard to wash the coffee strainer. Jose walked over to the barrel and leaned over the edges to get some water. Fernando was a short distance behind. (Ronaldo, I suppose, was wandering somewhere behind the house, away from the rest.)
Suddenly Fernando noticed a light emanating from the top of the avocado. Looking up, he saw a UFO hovering above the branches of a tree. The aircraft was round in shape, with a pair of antennas at the top, and was completely transparent. Inside were four humanoid passengers; one of them was located at the front of the ship, where the control panel was probably located. The passengers, dressed in spacesuits, were about two meters tall. All four were one-eyed. Three - thin and bald, the fourth looked like a plump woman with blond hair.
Frightened Fernando could not look away. Meanwhile, the UFO “fired” two beams of yellow light. A cyclops suddenly appeared between them, which smoothly descended to the ground. As soon as his boots touched the ground, the humanoid headed towards Jose, who, without suspecting anything, continued to draw water. Fearing the Cyclops might kidnap his friend, Fernando pushed Jose away in panic. He fell to the ground. Looking around, Fernando found the Cyclops standing right in front of him.
Now all the boys saw the strange guest. Stopping rooted to the spot, the cyclops nodded and signaled with his hand. He moved his mouth and made several sounds that the boys had never heard before. Then the alien turned and looked at the UFO. Fernando lifted a brick from the ground and swung at the humanoid.
Cyclops quickly turned to face him and shot the boy's hand with a yellow beam from a triangular ridge on his chest. Fernando dropped the brick, and all the boys suddenly became calm and as if inhibited. For the next few minutes, the Cyclops spoke to the children in his own language. The boys did not understand a single word, but the alien's voice sounded very serious. Pointing to the moon, the Cyclops headed back towards the UFO.

Jose finally asked the alien if he would ever return. He shook his head, tore off a blade of grass from the ground, and then waved his hand towards the spacecraft. The device again “fired” with two yellow beams, and the Cyclops smoothly flew upward. While the boys watched, the UFO took off, heading somewhere east, and was soon out of sight.
When the ship departed, a wave of fear covered the children. Jose ran to Gualberto's house and hid under the bed. Fernando and Ronaldo were also very scared. They told their mother, Maria José, about the incident. She asked a neighbor to run to a bar and call her husband, Alcides. When the man came home, he checked the entire backyard. Near a barrel of water, he found large prints that looked like boot prints.
It is said that Jose and his friends never saw the Cyclops again. And if this case had not interested one of the Brazilian ufologists, people would not have known about it.
