The British couple, who consider themselves to be real vampires, have given interviews to destroy myths about bloodsuckers, in particular about how people become them.
For many centuries, vampires have had a terrible reputation - they are considered to be fearful of the light as the fiends of hell, sucking blood from living people. But, according to a couple from the UK who drink human blood, in real life, vampires look and act completely differently.
53-year-old Vanyan and his 27-year-old wife, who calls herself Etheric Darkness, claim that vampires never attack people, do not sleep in coffins, do not have fangs and happily eat garlic without fear for their health.
“The stories that vampires need to catch a victim to get fresh blood is a myth. Firstly, it is classified as an attack, and secondly, this way you can get infected with some kind of infection. We don't sleep in coffins - we don't even have them in our house. We don't have fangs and we don't use fake ones. We eat garlic and are not afraid to be near the church. But we do sleep during the day and stay awake at night,”says Vanyan, posing with his beloved in broad daylight.
The couple of "vampires" admit that they drink the blood of people, but emphasize that they only take it from volunteers from the "Black Swan" vampire community.
“We drink a little: just one or two drops,” says an elderly Briton with contrasting black and white hair. - If you drink too much blood, you can vomit. And this is a very personal procedure - everything happens only one-on-one. All black swans must receive a health certificate, otherwise drinking blood will turn into Russian roulette. You don't know what is in another person's blood, and infections are everywhere."

The couple also drew the attention of journalists to the process of transforming a person into a vampire.
“It’s not the way it’s shown in films and television series. No violence! - explains Vanyan. “It's like a gentle awakening and can happen at any age. The transformation happens completely naturally. You start asking questions, and when you wake up, you suddenly realize who you really are. We are doing this interview to educate people. It is your choice whether you believe what we say or not."
Black Swans added that they liked the American television series True Blood, but the Twilight movie was not at all impressed.
“Yes, True Blood is a good film, but Twilight is not. No kidding. Again, this ("Twilight") is not a real story. Not my world, "the elderly" vampire "shared his opinion.
The couple expressed the hope that people will cease to perceive them as the embodiment of evil and, over time, will become more tolerant of vampires.
